“Ok For Backpackers & Travelers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Traveled to K.Terengganu with my husband. Stay for 1 night only. As a backpacker, didn't expect for high quality rooms & services but this quite OK for us.

Bathroom was nice except the shower, a bit slow shower.
Breakfast was OK with some local cuisine such as Nasi Dagang and a few kuih-muih.

I don't mind to stay here again but next time I will ask for beachfront room.

Room Tip: Ask for beachfront room if you're taking Superior Room.

Stay in this hotel for one night as I was required to go Kuala Terengganu for work purposes.
The hotel condition is a bit worn out and required an upgrade. Reach the hotel around 4pm and check in. The check in is quite fast as there wasn't any queue. The walkway to the room was not lighted properly. There is one part is dark even though it was 4pm in the afternoon.
The room fixtures are worn out and really required for an upgrade. And also the sliding door to the balcony can not lock.
As for the bathroom, there are basic toiletries. If you want a better bath soap, you will need to bring your own.
The hotel management should do an upgrade as the property is really worn out.
Didn't manage to enjoy the pool and the beach as busy with work. But do enjoy the sea view from the restaurant during breakfast.
Overall, not up to the expectation and will consider other hotel if come to Kuala Terengganu again.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a meeting. The best in Kuala Terengganu with its beautiful view of the beach and very near to the beach. Rooms are a bit old. Bathrooms are poorly maintained. Breakfast was good. The receptionist are not friendly and too slow and made me wait for about 30 minutes. No sufficient seating and parking during peak times especially weekends and during big events organized in KT. Walking distance to KFC abd A&W.

Stayed here for 4 days for an event. Considered the best in KT. Rooms are renovated in the new wing. Old wing rooms are not.

Rooms are modern and nice with good pillows and quilts. Wifi may not be stable except in the lobby.

Breakfast at hotel, elaborate local breakfast but on weekends may haveinsufficient seating and staff may not be able to cope.

Note weekends in KT is friday and Saturday. Lounge does not serve alcohol. No beer avaliable.

Location is good near to the beach. Evening take a stroll and soak into the local shopping and food. KFC and A&W nearby within walking distance.

Free shuttle to town.

Pool is quite nice.

Stayed for 3 nights. Nightmare check-in. Long wait for staff to help us. Rooms not ready although we checked in after 3pm. Finally after an hour, we were given our rooms. No towels in rooms. No floor mats in bathrooms, which is a problem for the elders and small children. Repeated requests to different staff were futile until we spoke to the manager. Plates placed outside rooms were not cleared by housekeeping staff. Shocked when we were told that 2 rooms had extra bed when only 1 was requested for. No communication between staff in different departments.

The only bright spot was the manager of the restaurant (during breakfast). He was an outstanding staff who made the stay in Primula bearable. Also, the bellhops were good - Prompt and alert to customers needs.

Smile by the front staff would be most appreciative. Also, frontline staff should be more pro-active when they see customers waiting to be served after more than 10 minutes to approach them and ask how they may help them - not just passing by them. Poor customer service definitely is the archille heels of Primula.

Stay for 2 Nights.

Good
-Swimming pool
-Breakfast
-Easy access to town and other areas

Lots to Improve
-Mini gymnasium equipment not well maintained
-Insufficient space to cater for large crowd during breakfast. Very bad during school holiday.
-Reception staff not so friendly to assist your need
-Poor TV reception. Eventhough it is just RTM channel.
-Bad parking space during high peak period especially at night

In short....no fun....only for sleep.

Came for 2 nights yesterday, and i will have to say the place is average, or slightly above average. The room is nice, and has that 4 to 5 star atmosphere, but the room has some minor letdowns. Such as, in the night a baby cockroach was wandering about in the bathroom, and it had come from the plughole. After i covered the plughole, i could hear something banging on it, trying to get out. Then there is the usual moss, and alot of the metal is rusty. There were also a lot of ants on the sink. The bed was comfortable, the balcony needed cleaning, and outside the bathroom i cant say much. The beach is rather nice, too. I wouldnt recommend swimming due to the current, but the water is quite clear. Staff is good and generally friendly. Overall, its worth it, and i would come back, breakfast is good, but please do something about the cockroaches and the ants and the rusty metal.
