“Excellent Hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

Very good situation next to the bus station, restaurants and markets and easy to find. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean and pleasant. Very happy about the service. Cannot find better in quality/price at Terrenganu. Cheers.

Staff friendly and helpful. Most convenient location, within walking distance of everything. Excellent value for money. Will stay here again. Good place to stay prior to going to Palau Kapas or Redang. The rooms are clean and I didn't mind the stairs at all.

My mom and I was on the trip to Redang Island. We’ve decided to stay at budget hotel for 1 night. Hotel location is strategic, and convenience. Nearby with KFC, Secret recipe, local restaurant, Shah Bandar Jetty, KT Bus station & Pasar Payar. Staff very friendly and helpful~~ It hard for us to find shop to print out our boarding pass, but staff help me to print without any charge. This budget hotel also have provide FREE WIFI (access from room) with FAST speed. Awesome.

Stayed there for one night on the way back from Redang Island. Hotel is centrally located very close to the ferry, bus station or market. Friendly staff, rooms nice and tidy but quite small.
Good place to stay for a night on your way somewhere else as in general in Kuala Terengganu there is absolutely nothing to do.

Me and my family was on our way to Tasek Kenyir but decided to stay a night at this budget hotel but to our astonishment that this walk up hotel did provide the basic necessities. It is a walking distant to Pasar Payang, a bus and taxi terminal, Mydin supermarket, gold smith shops, batik boutiques and a nice, serene seaside and some good eatery outlets, KFC, McD, 7e just to quote a few. Our stay there was not a mistake move. We enjoyed the place.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the road so that you have a hawk eye view of other locations.

No, the warning is not for something sinister. It is just to advise you to watch out for the hotel signage which is really easy to miss and you might end up going round and round the same block looking for the hotel when your gps says 'You have arrived at your destination'...The signage is yellow and small but rest assured when you know where the hotel is, it's really easy to find. Just look out for KFC at the corner (traffic light at cross junction), and it's near Secret Recipe.
To cut story short, the hotel is centralised where it's nearby Pasar Payang, Batu Buruk Beach & bus station to get to other local attractions. Rooms (double deluxe and family) are not spacious but just enough to move around with ease. Hot shower, cable tv and wifi provided but depends whether your room is near the wifi router.
If you have elderlies travelling with you and especially if they need assistance, would be wise if you can choose a different hotel. The lowest room starts from climbing 3 flights of stairs, a challenge for a not-so-fit yours truly.
All and all, an average stay with food easily available from the restaurants right in front of the hotel and around it. Staffs are friendly and the locals are too, especially if you lost your way; they even drew maps for us.
Just a gentle reminder, watch out for the signage...

Stayed here on 26 October 2013 (just 1 night), to attend a wedding reception in Kuala Terengganu.

GOOD:
+ Central location (5 minutes walk from Pasar Payang, KFC, McDonald's, Bus Station, 7-11)
+ Clean rooms
+ Good room prices.
+ FIxtures and fittings worked well.
+ Free in-room WIFI

CRITIC:
+ Should seriously consider building a lift, instead of hotel guests having to walk up to the rooms, and also to facilitate baggage movement.

Will not hesitate to come here again.
