“Bad...i mean really-really bad!!!...worst stay ever!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

My father booked 4 villas on June 2012. It was my reception for my husband side of the family. So my dad book the villas for 2 nights stay. First when we came for check in at 2pm, they say that the room was not ready, then we came again at 3pm the reception was crowded with people. We only manage to get our keys 30 mins passed 3. We have booked the hotel on Jan 2012, we went there from KL just to booked the hotel because my father is a bit fussy about hotel condition especially when we provide accommodations for our families. When we got the keys, it turn out that they gave us different villas with the one that we have booked. We checked all the villas and most of the air conds in that 4 villas cannot be used. One of the room in one of the villa is lock (Bcoz the room cannot be used). We were really disappointed. We went to see the manager, and my dad confront (and scolded them) them telling them that from the very beginning it was wrong for what they did. They gave us different room to what we have booked and instead they gave us broken & damage villa. We have to stay there because it was school holiday and it was the week where the new uitm student have to register, it was not easy to get other accomodations. At night, suddenly one of the villa went dark. No electricity!!!!!!!!. My father and me was so pissed off, we call the technical and the manager, the only reason they gave us is that the hotel can't handle the overuse electricity in the hotel. What a nonsense excuse they gave us, no solution but only excuses from the very beginning. Lucky the electricity went on again only at @12++am. For the rest 3 days it was a disastrous experiences staying here!!!!!!!!!. What a sad things to experience during my wedding reception week!!!....I will never ever stay in this hotel ever again!!!!

We just came back from a weekend break at Mayangsari Resprt Dungun. It was a very enjoyable retreat especially for our 2 kids. The pool villa provides complete privacy for the family, with its private garden and its own swimming pool. For the price, you can't ask for more..The best moment was watching the sun rise at the beach in front of the resort..

Room Tip: The Pool Villas are really value for money. It is also fronting a beautiful beach..

Stayed 3 nights at pool villa. Beautifully done w a rustic feel. Outdoor shower. Small lap pool and a nice verandah to hang out. You can book an adjacent room making it a total of 4 persons to a pool villa. Quite reasonably priced for the privacy and space.

Hotel is just across the road from beach and fairly popular stalls selling keropok lekor and the likes.

Hidden gem: Hotel restaurant has really good food for less than RM10 per persoN! Chef apparently used to work for Terengganu royal family. Try the sup tulang, nasi goreng.. Didn't try the western stuff yet.

Minor complaints: Wifi connection not that good. Some furniture is a bit dated.

So sad, disappointing and bad holiday. Room is not well maintained. Rather dirty room with light does not working, they said the pool is under maintenance (but over the past year are still the same ....) Still maintaining the old type of aircond (MEC Brand...) not cold at all and without any fan as an option. Don't be cheated by the photo in the web site.
No internet access as promises. Not worth it for money.

The Mayangsari is an old hotel situated by the seaside in Dungun Terengganu. Theprice is quite reasonable and the staff were fantastic. The cheaper rooms were quite small with noisy air-conditioning.. Had to change rooms to a better one

Room Tip: Try the evening snacks with coffee at the hotel restaurant. Its fantastic and quite cheap.
