“its quiet, location is central, service average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2011

The hotel is quiet as it is mainly patronised by the Japanese businessman. The rooms have recently been refurbished and looks and feels new.
The service at the reception was poor, I complaint that I was made to feel unwelcome, the manager apologised immediately and corrected the mistake. Restaurant is average. there are a good choices for food. The funny thing was that they serve chicken wings as an option for breakfast.. hey, I'm not complaining! Would I go there again... sure why not.

very nice lobby, clean and elegant and good breakfast, but the good points end there ... very old and very large room, wallpaper unglued, moisture 'on the walls and windows, and full of old carpet stains such as armchairs and the sofa, cleaning the bathroom leaves much to be desired. linens always torn parts of the woodwork showed black spots and peeling paint. It 'was one of the worst hotel you've stayed at. high price compared to other hotels with more central position and the same price.
and placed in an area with many offices and some commercial center near the highway.
Undercover pay parking, which was always impregnated with a terrible stench.

Checked into it's standard twin room at executive floor, but it wasn't as 'executive' as I expected.Room was clean and spacious but it wasn't clean everyday. Even towel also wasn't change until I requested it. In room fridge was only meant to keep cold small item like can drinks even that also it wasn't very cold. In room WiFi is chargeable at RM15/hour.The one thing I like about the room is the lighting where there are almost everywhere and they also have night light which is convenient for me who need to sleep with dim light. Also, they provide 6elevator (in order to reduce waiting time)at each floor which it travels very fast to respective floor. It is something that I don't experience much in other hotel. The room atmosphere(as it was located at 15floor) was very cold as sometime I don't even need to switch on the aircond . Fitness center is open at 730am-9pm which is equipped with basic equipment i.e treadmill, dumbbells, shoulder-abs weight and sit up station etc. Steam room were only opens at 9am-8pm.International Breakfast starts at 6am with basic local + western cuisine i.e Fried rice @ Mee, Porridge, Bread,Salad+fruits, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Beans, eggs. Service at the counter was quite unpleasant as I requested for a cab to my office but the person promised me just fled away and I had to call another person to assist me.Walking distance to shopping mall (about 10mins) and adjacent to main terminal bus station.

Room Tip: They provide room for ladies only at 16floor.

So this place is just ok really. A short walk from the hotel will take you around a lake which has turtles in it, and for us, that was a novelty!
The hotel isn't particularly close to much of interest. There is a shopping centre down the road but it is not very exciting. You can take a taxi to the train station (should be about RM5-7 but we got ripped off going there and driven right around the area on the way back... beware) and get a train return to KL for RM5. This is a bit of a packed in a tin of sardines situation and isn't the fastest mode of travel, but you'd be in central KL station within an hour max. From there you can get on a bus tour or similar of KL if you only have a small amount of time like we did.
The hotel itself is ok. I see many people have pointed out that breakfast is a bit of a shocker. Think diluted concentrate juices, some form of reconstituted turkey instead of bacon, dry bread...
We did eat several meals in the main restaurant. On the whole we found it really cheap and pretty good.
We were on the side of the hotel facing the Blue Mosque. I don't know if there would be any getting away from being woken at 5.22 am each morning by Islamic chanting over the loudspeaker but do bring some ear plugs, they will dull it at least a little bit if you aren't going to participate. Your sleep will otherwise be interuppted periodically throughout the morning.
Our room was very spacious, could have done with a more thorough clean but had everything we needed and more. Two english TV channels - a movie channel and Discovery.
I couldn't say we had a bad stay. I think the staff were generous to us, always acknowledged us and tried to do the best for us. I think it was good value for money and if we were doing a similar trip we would probably stay there again.

Rated as a 4 star accomodation, this hotel certainly falls short in many areas. For starters, the staff showed a lack of professionalism and hospitality was totally absent. We reached the hotel at 2pm and was told that check in time was at 2.30 pm so we waited but got our rooms only at 3pm. Even that, our rooms reservation was screwed up and they wanted to give us rooms with the wrong bed configurations when our reservations had already stated our requirements. So, it took them another long while to prepare the room. We had to ask if we were able to check out late since we were checking in late which was their fault. Initially, they did not allow us to do so but relented when we made a fuss. My husband ordered room service for dinner and he was told to pay in cash when they sent the food. We were surprised as to why it could not have just been charged to the room and payment could have been made upon checking out as that has always been the way. The rooms were not adequately cleaned and there were a number of stains on the carpet floor. We travelled with our 10 month old baby and had requested for a cot upon checking in but it took them another 2 hours before it was sent. Not only that, the housekeeping staff simply pushed in the cot with a sullen look plastered on his face. The next morning, we were in a rude shock to find that the breakfast buffet was a horrendous one. I have had a better spread in a 3 star hotel! There were not much choices and the food were cold! The high chairs for babies were not in working order as well. When we were checking out, another guest beside us was complaining away to the front desk about his unhappiness with the service, something which we can very well understand. Yes, its a full serviced hotel BUT the management certainly needs to have a lot of improvement to the overall being of the hotel before all guests run away!

I was with my wife in this hotel for 4 nights. Although I requested "non-smoking" room, they gave me a "smoking" room with a promise that they would shift us if there was tobacco smell. As the room did not have tobacco smell we stayed for the whole period. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was ok; some small patches of mold were found near the exhaust conduit. Breakfast spread was good. But on the last day, when we went around 9AM (breakfast section is scheduled to be closed by 10AM) the place was crowded with insufficient tables and many dish-bowls were empty.
