“30 minutes drive from LCCT”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We literally checked in and slept and checked out again. I didn't realise it was so far from LCCT but it served the purpose which was simply 4 hours to sleep.

We didn't eat there. The bathroom had funny blue lighting. Beds were ok and clean. Little in the way of bathroom amentities.

A taxi from LCCT is MYR75 which seemed expensive but the shuttle was at inconvenient time for pick up. We used the shuttle for drop off and it was only MYR5 per person. The taxi driver found the place without too much trouble but it is not the easiest to find.

Check in was strange - you need to pay a deposit for the room key which considering they have credit card details I found annoying

If I had known it was so far from LCCT I would have stayed elsewhere.

I thought this hotel would have good airport pickup/dropoff. They quickly responded to my emails to ensure that Agoda had passed on my airport pickup arrangements. They stated that they monitor your flight arrival time to time the airport pickup. I arrived at LCCT and waited nearly 1 hour but no pickup. The heat was oppressive and there was an unbelievably long queue of people waiting for taxis. LCCT is a crap airport. Nothing but mayhem. Stressed out, with no mobile to ring with, I finally gave in and changed money, found a public phone, filled it up with coins, and hoped that the hotel number worked. It did! The driver said he had gone to pick me up from KLIA. If the hotel (Which is in the airport area) HAD been monitoring my flight, they would know that AIRASIA only flys into LCCT – it does not fly to KLIA.
Checkin smooth. Room looked well appointed. For food in the area the shop next door only sells instant noodles. The room had an adjoining room and the loud sound of snoring came through the interconnecting door all night. There was a rain shower. Great! But the water was cold both at midnight and again at 8am the next day. All night you could hear the noise of water going down the sewer pipes from toilets/bathrooms above. The hotel room doors all have heavy door closers on them and doors were banging loudly late into the night, and recommenced at about 6am. Free tea coffee and toast available. There was just an empty bread bag there. I asked the lady staff member hovering there for more bread. She just grunted back at me, and then it took 10 minutes for her to bring one loaf of bread. That was gone within 5 minutes, and although she was tidying around the area, she did not replace it again whilst I was there.
Airport drop off went well.

Room Tip: I believe that the rooms at the front have traffic noise, but mine was at the back, and had 'Hot...

We stayed here overnight on our way to Cambodia. The hotel is a little out of the way but still close enough to the KL airport to be very convenient, especially for early morning flights. The room was clean and beds comfortable so we had a good rest. Other reviews complained of noise from other occupants however we didn't think it was excessive. Would definitely stay here again for a one night stop over.

We had an 8 hour layover in KL and if you have the same I would recommend the Youniq hotel. Once you overlook the decor (the fluro lights), it is very clean, quiet (I took other travellers advice and got a room at the rear) and great value for money. The $3 shuttle took us to the airport on time and the whole experience was exactly what was required.

We tried this hotel twice but on last occasion it was full due to Formula 1 race at Sepang so we tried another hotel that cost 50 rm each way in a taxi - Youniq is 5rm each so u save 40rm = approx £9 - Good staff and great taxi service - tea /coffee and bread /Jam laid out from 5am makes an early pre airport breakfast easy - room rate around £20 for a new modern hotel room.
Theres a local restaurant around back and we eat there twice with no ill affects.
There is Hot & Cold Water readily available on each floor

Downsides - a bit far from KL but ideal for the airport - If F1 on make sure u leave extra 2 hrs to get thro traffic jams at Sepang!!!!

We ended up staying here after having a bad experience at another hotel. We were impressed at the decor of this hotel with friendly staff. Its about 25 mins to the LCCT terminal and they have an airport shuttle that you have to arrange 48hrs prior. The room rate is room only, however, they provide free tea, coffee and toast between 5am and 11am every morning. There is nothing really around the area of the hotel- there is a shop next door and a basic but fine restaurant around the corner. The nearest train station is about 10mins away in a taxi which costs approx $8 each way. The train into the city (KLCC) takes two trains and approx 50 mins. Worth a visit for an easy airport hotel! The hotel is only approx 4 months old, however, i'm not sure if this hotel will still be as good in a years time as it was already showing signs of wear & tear. However, is a great option at the moment!

Room Tip: we had an XL room which was nice

we stayed here for one night , yes its very hip with the colors etc , it stands out like a light house from up the road lol , check in was swift with no probs at all , after a huge day shopping in kl , was a little shocked to find there was no where to put the cold beer we brought with us , no mini fridge , no glasses , just a couple of mugs so we just had to drink them all lol, beds ok but 2 pillows would have been nice , the traffic noise is very loud as its on a 6 lane hyway so light sleepers would have no chance , yes there is a service center across the road if u wanted to risk your life ,as u had a road devider barrier to deal with in u wnated to go there , free mini bus to the aiport was a bonus , but takes all the back roads , got us there on time though ... would i stay here again ? one night yes but no longer

Room Tip: have a few drinks befor bed , may help u over come the traffic noise

Hi Robinarob,
Thanks for staying with us and also give us a very fair review, We appreciate you taking the time to do so. We do have a convenient store next door to our hotel however they do not sell liqour due to this convenient is operated by a muslim operator. We don't encourage guests to get across the highway to the gas stations to get beers. We apologize for not having a mini bar and frigde in the guest room however we do have a communal fridge where our front desk receptionist will be more than happy to keep your beer cold for you.
Hope to see you again.

Best Regards
Kevin
