“A dinner enjoyed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2015

D'Fong provides a nice dining environment with reasonably good acoustics. The food is also very good if, accompanied by a frank chat with the captain, the correct dishes are ordered. The chef's super dishes include the signature pork ribs with honey, bean curd with a hint of petai and roast chicken (moist on the inside and crisp on the outside). Other dishes like steamed fish, sauteed lotus root and lin yong kai lan are also good. Waiters are reasonably attentive though some lack finesse especially when laying out the desert bowls. Ample parking is easily available.

“Downright terrible!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2015 via mobile

A CNY eve reunion dinner here ended in tears. The experience was rendered tortuous by the ineptly trained staff that are clearly devoid of any passion & etiquettes. Slamming every dish on the table & eagerly attempting to clear them way before they are finished isn't exactly the way to prep the table for a reservation that's due only in 3 hours time! Food quality... Given this table cost RM1000+ in total, I am speechless. Braised Shark's Fins soup akin to starchy broth put together by "stretching" what little ingredients used to the hilt. A Red Emperor Fish that literally was inferior to a roadside served Red Tilapia. Roasted chicken that ended up being a salted chicken. Fragrance Glutinous Rice probably assembled by a chef that hates rice! Other dishes were below average at best. Mass food preparation probably contributed to this foolish attempt to cash in on the occasion and in so doing, sadly trading your reputation for the short term gain. If your must play around premium price menus, I'd suggest you act the part as well.

“Excellent service and good food for top value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2015

Friends invited us to this restaurant at another location at Wisma TA. This location is convenient to access and has ample parking. Despite a rather quiet evening, the restaurant was well patronized. The menu offered a fine selection of Chinese (mainly Cantonese cuisine). We liked the fish, dual roast and spiced chicken, pork ribs, waxed meat claypot rice, mushrooms and brocolli, steamed fish with chopped chillies and others. We had a handsome meal for a very reasonable price. The decor is typical Chinese/Cantonese and the private rooms offered some privacy for a real nice evening of good conversation among friends and good food. I must say we received attentive service with the floor manager checking up with us for feedback. Excellent choice for a good dinner.

“D'Fong very accommodating and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2014

This is the second time I'd been to D'Fong with the first three years ago. Each time I find the staff very accommodating and helpful. The food is very good and reasonably priced considering the location and level of service. I'd be happy to go back again.
