“Unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

Went there with my hubby. Food was good. Service were very attentive. Tom yum soup for two person was just too much for us. We took the middle level of spiciness. Just nice for us. Slightly expensive but worth the money.

“Unique and flavorful fusion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

Looking for a fresh take on thai and fusion, this place is a must try... low key and hidden in the suburbs. On a friday evening, this place was surprisingly quiet, max 3 tables were filled only. Great for us, no queues or noise, it turned out to be a nice quiet private family dinner. Was suspecting if there were something negative about the business since they opened a while ago. Brought to you by same people who gave us My Elephant thai modernism in Sec17 and Aman Suria suburbs, instead of the usual mall / restaurants stereotype restaurants. The deco is the similar minimalism and modern style. Love the bulbs here. Just looking at the menu or the tablet menu with pictures, I wanted to try everything in one go. Some of the items reminded me of the Tamarind Hill offerings with salmon and western fish thrown into dishes. We 2 adults and 2 children had KomPassion Whole Baked Snapper with Thai Salsa & Special Grilled Chilli Dip; Double cooked pork belly with soft shell crab; Stir-fried Kailan; brown and white rice; Thai Tako; Icecream with Jackfruit & Red Rubies and refreshing refillable Japanese green tea with lemongrass. Total cost was RM200+. Overall, awesome. I will be back for the rest of the menu.

“Rich flavours”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Visited Kompassion twice since it opened. Although the prices may be steeper than their sister establishment, My Elephant, it was enjoyable and rich in flavour.

Thoroughly pleased with the meal, the wait staff are very friendly, and they play you a birthday song if you're celebrating your birthday

“Good Thai Fusion - Super Low Corkage”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

The food here is not your typical Thai. You have to taste it to experience it. The pork satay is really good and the duck as well. Service is fast and corkage is only RM10/table...yes per table. Very casual and lively atmosphere. Parking a bit of a challenge during weekends.

“The Best Thai Fusion Food In Kuala Lumpur”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

I lived in Thailand before coming to Kuala Lumpur and over many years of visiting and living in Bangkok, I have developed a genuine love of Thai food, in all its many guises. Thai food has become a popular choice around the world, although that which you might find in some of the celebrated restaurants in places like London or New York are more closely aligned to Thai fusion. The real heat of Thai food would not find favour with the average mild London palate, unused to the spicy (burning hot) ingredients found in some of Thailand's traditional dishes. These same dishes served in the West have been, in most cases diluted for the more sensitive palates.
Thai fusion, however is a delicate mix of the subtle flavours produced from Thai herbs and spices combined with more western-style dishes. The food at Kompassion is both subtle in flavour and more interesting for its marriage to the thai ingredients and cooking style.
This restaurant is not easy to find and it is not on a main road, so print out the map or turn on the GPS before heading out. But it is well worth a visit. The ambience is casual and informal and the decor is simple and in no way detracts from the excellent food on offer.
