Abirami has never failed me & my friends. Its the best banana leave restaurant we have been. Very clean ambience with delicious food & great service. Price is just right.

Tried the sweet delicacies...hmmm mouth watering. Irresistible!

Dirtiest banana leaves. Waiters too dirty and rude. Have been patronising this place from late 70's. After last visit no more.

“My Banana-Leaf resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

Been going here for some time now. From Sri Devi to Abirami. I normally go here for a banana-leaf lunch. If you keep quiet, you will find your banana leaf filled with a lot of rice! I just love this typical South Indian restaurant.

Banana-leaf comes with the usual curry and vegetables unless you ask for meat or fish.

Please do not forget to ask for the crispy 'papadam'. If you don't ask they keep silent for reasons unknown to me till today. I always ask for a second helping of the pappadam. Goes so well with the food. I also order a plate of chicken.

banana-leaf food is best eaten with your fingers - and this is really finger-licking good! It's has an 'outdoor' area covered with a 'roof' where you can sit and eat too. It's actually an alley but it's clean. I like the food here a lot. I would suggest the chicken perettal in curry and the chicken varuval... tasty.

Even a vegetarian lunch is very good which I try to eat on Fridays but come Friday, I forget that I am a vegetarian!

The food is tasty and the price is reasonable. Definitely value for money.

“A simple restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Very simple with nothing special. Pls try the Pandian stall in SS5 Kelana jaya instead. open only for Breakfast and lunch. Its just Awesome. A great many 18 verities and the price per head for a fish or meat meal will not exceed 7 to 8 RM. Its open on all days for Breakfast and Lunch. A nice smiling Mr pandian will greet you. They are also quite generous. One should not miss the short indian eats like the classic Vada's and other indian dumplings. Its location is quite discreet and its close to a panasonic shop. I go there every sunday afternoon for lunch after church and look forward to it. If someone is very keep I can give you the GPS location if you need it..
