My partner and I enjoyed a superb meal at the Dyak restaurant on the evening of April 29th 2013. The menu offers traditional Sarawak fayre. With such menus there is a degree of risk in terms of the spiciness but fortunately we were aided by the lovely Mary, the mother of the owner who refined our choices and steered us away from any 'fierce' dishes. She was such a helpful lady. Try the chicken cooked in bamboo with tapioca leaves or the wild ginger shoots stir-fried with chillies, onions and anchovies. Then round your meal off with ice cream & rice wine or with cold fermented rice. Delicious. I highly recommend the restaurant for a true taste of the local food.
