Don`t usually "go out" for Indian food but made the exception here as this restaurants menu looked so tempting. And we weren`t disappointed! You can opt to order several startes and "nibble" or - as we did - order a starter and a main (you won`t have room for dessert!).
I was worried that the food would be very spicy, but it was more flavoursome than spicy and I really enjoyed it. I had fish cooked in the tandoor oven and that was scrummy - the fish was moist and fresh, with just enough kick to keep you alive.
The decor is very simple and elegant, but the only negative would be if you sit outside - there is a "smoking area" directly opposite the outside seating area, so as you are eating, there may be groups of people standing 10 feet away watching you while they are smoking. This could be rectified if the hotel moved the area a little.
The food is reasonably priced and the drinks expensive if you have a bottle of wine - not so bad if you have beers, but it is nicer to have wine with your meal as you could feel very full if you have beer, rice and curry!
Would highly recommend this restaurant - especially if you don`t usually have non takeaway Indian food, as the staff will adapt anything on the menu to suit your taste.
