Stayed here for 5 nights from 1 - 6 Oct. First impression wasn't great. Arrive late at 8.30pm & they did not prepare non-smoking room for us. Had to wait for another 30-40min for them to clean a room for us. Room had no shower curtain & room safe not working.
Pros: Large spacious room, friendly service staff, Housekeeping quite prompt in responding to requests. Convenient location next to Centrepoint Shopping Centre, nearby to Gaya Street & ferry terminal (abt 15-20 mins walk), seafood restaurants.
Cons: Cleanliness can be improved, staff not very knowledgeable when asked about placesof interest, tours. The hotel sells tour from only one agency and our expenience with it for the Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring tour wasn't good. Also found tour members from other hotels paid lower price for the trip. Breakfast was mediocre.
Tips: Be there on a Sunday to conincide with the interesting Sunday Market at Gaya Street. Seafood restaurants overcharges tourists.
