“Good local seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012 via mobile

Had dinner 2 out of the 3 night I was in Kk. Food was good n prices reasonable n service was good unlike top spot in Kuching. The kam heong crabs was great n only rm 18 per kg. The giant clam was very fresh n was spot on in the ginger soup. The steamed prawns are also very good.

“Very nice food and experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

This Chinese seafood restaurant is really something unique. The fish comes fresh from aquariums, where you can watch yourself before eating it. The place is big, very popular and quite crowded. Food we found very nice; portions quite big and very tasteful. However, if you are looking for a romantic and stylish place, do not consider this; the interior is fairly basic and nothing spectacular.

“You get what you pay for”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

Yes the food is cheap - the bill came to just 580 for a family of 14

Howver the environment was terrible and the service was not exactly spectacular

And I think the food at Ocean seafood tasted a lot better despite being more expensive

Really regreted taking my family here

“Value for money seafood”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

This is a branch from its main. May be a task trying to locate the restaurant as it's hidden from the complex frontal. Once you're there, you'll be greeted by rows & rows of seafood-hardies from one end to the other (literally).
We had crab, prawns , fish, toufu and vege. All in all sets us back to MYR250, which is not bad at all.

As for the quality, i find the prawn a bit over cooked with the oats, which overwhelmed the prawn. Fish was nicely steamed and juicy. We had crabs cooked in salted eggs. We found the dish to be too wet. The salted eggs was too much and too wet, and i wonder if the salted eggs is really salted eggs since we can't find much saltiness in them.
The Sabah vege is really really good ... crunchy and fried just nice. As for the toufu, tho' it's supposed to be their signature dish ... i think those in Kuala Lumpur taste way better.

Overall, for MYR250, it's a bargain. Best you made reservation as it can be difficult to get a table during peak time.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

6 of us, 4 adults 2 children, with one special noodles, 2.5 kg crabs, 2 plate vegetables, 1 special beancurd, cost RM126. it is very cheap and the food is delicious.
--long space around 7 shops, and every times FULL HOUSE, making this point a good place to had dinner at KK.
--located next to Kampung air, near City star Sabah. from town to there taxi about RM 10.
