“a little something extra”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

After hiking up mount Kinabalu I decided to have a footmassage. Comming here was not like comming to the ordinary asian massage -places. They had made the effort to make this place to something more. The enviroment, the treatment, and the staff was all better. They have the little something extra that one comes back for. I only wish I had more time in Kota Kinabalu.

“Top choice spa in KK!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

I love going for massages every now and then, especially after a long exhausting day. South Sea Sanctuary (SSS) nails it when I want to get a really relaxing one. The massages are a little pricey then most spas in the city but totally worth it. The quality of service is definitely above the rest. Love the foot massages the most. The first time I tried it, I slept into relaxation after just 5-10 minutes. I also love the environment in SSS. The interior design definitely gives me a sense of calm and tranquility. The staff are very friendly as well. Nuff said! If you love going for a massage, this is the spot to go for one in KK.

“More than a spa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

The staff are friendly, they are very knowledgeable with their products. Love the environment of the spa and it always relaxes me. The prices are higher than many of the other massage places but you are paying for proper services and quality products. But more than that, they offer an amazing detox treatment and other treatment not found in Sabah. Worth the visit.

“A welcoming experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

It was a very relaxing experience. The environment was conducive and the masseuse was very accommodating to my needs. She asked what type of pressure I wanted for the massage and her background in physiotherapy was definitely a plus. All the staff were very friendly.

“Creative and beautiful spa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

South Sea Sanctuary is a really beautiful space with a calm and tranquil feel. The regular art exhibits and installations such as origami bird mobiles are a great way to engage local artists and renew the interiors. Staff are friendly and provide a great service from the second you walk in the door. There are so many budget spas in KK and a fair few expensive hotel resort spas. This place hits the mark between the two - luxurious but reasonably priced considering the attention to detail and quality of experience. There are often special discounts on offer at the counter or in local magazines.
