“Avoid deluxe with seaview room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013 via mobile

I booked deluxe with seaview room only to find out the room was so small, and the window was actually facing a big hotel, not the sea view. The room was so small, we had no place to put our luggage. The room arrangement was a complete bizarre with tv was placed at the side of the bed, and a wash basin was outside the bathroom!! It was so messy and wet. The water heater was not working properly. We requested to change to another room but all were fully occupied. Finally a standard room was available and we downgraded to standard room which was bigger than the deluxe room. However, no refund of price difference was given for the downgrade room. The standard room was OK compared to the deluxe room.
However, we like the hotel location near to eatery places, shopping mall, and local attractions.
Please avoid deluxe room with seaview window if you wish to stay in this hotel.

Great location, good air con, free wifi, hot shower, nice staff and free bottles of water.

On the downside the room was pretty skanky and probably overpriced. The room wasn't cleaned with stains on bedding and towels. Hairs on the floor and wall paper coming off.

It does NOT look like the pictures and the lonely planet's advice is nonsense.

So many good reasons not to stay here! I'll be brief:

-Room was terrible. cracks, mould, holes, no fulshing toilet...
-property is up a staircase in a shopping centre, and you won't get help with anything
-Corridors smell of cigarettes and something else bad
-staff are friendly but not helpful or useful
-walls and windows are paper thin. you will not sleep.
-Hotel is overcharging for the product delivered.

There are some seriously good options in town for less money than you will pay here.

It's a rip off!
First of all, they're using the confusion of "Le Meridien" and "Le Hotel" on Google! When you type in "Le Meridien" on Google, you get a web link that's named "Le Meridien" but the actual link is to the booking page of "Le Hotel"! So we unknowingly booked this one in stead of Le Meridien. Then when we actually arrived, the friendly but barely English speaking receptionist checked us in. We immediately knew something had gone wrong. A cleaning lady on bare feet showed us to our room, he couldn't even open the door because the lock was so poorly working! We walked in the "Super Delux" room which we smaller than a shoe box!(and I'm from Europe, I know small hotel rooms) on top of that there was still hair left on the bathroom floor, the sheets looked anything but clean, the lock wa dangling off the door, the window was thinner than a sheet of paper ad there were cracks, missing paint and strange gue on the bathroom door. We literally RAN out of there and booked a room at Eden 54. Better side of town with great room and impeccable service, FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! I think the owners of this "hotel" should be ashamed of themselves and I feel for anyone staying there in the future...

Saw this hotel while strolling around the waterfront and looking for a hotel to stay. Upon seeing the hotel I was already hesitant to get in but the only thing that convinced me was the location. Scary stairs going up because to "secluded". So I wasn't expecting much from this hotel. The lobby was at the 3rd floor as it was posted in the elevator. The receptionist is nice and accommodating and they presented as a big room that could accommodate the four of us. It's the family room with sea view and they let us see the room first before booking it, and it was way better than i expected it to be. The price is right so we booked it and because we just really need to have a nice place to sleep during night as we will go on tour the whole day.

The room is nice because it is overlooking the waterfront, the beds are okay, but the beddings are a little bit dirty. The room's carpet has an iron marked but we didn't mind. The bathroom is small. The towels provided are old. There are smoking and non-smoking rooms available.

The hotel is ideally located at the waterfront, beside the Le Meridien Hotel and the Center Point Mall. The hotel is part of a shop building so downstairs are different shops.

It's an okay hotel, not that nice, not that pricey, okay for comfort sleep. Good location.

I went to vacation on October 2012. Weekend and no hotel available anymore. So i had to choose this hotel. The hotel is not worth money. No well kept. Lift is broken. And actually you will share the same building with shoplots. The only thing good is the location.

Room Tip: Check in early if you want to get good room.

Seems to be more for long term and the rooms were not well kept. Stayed for 2nights . Good location right in city center. Opposite the famous waterfront which was great for four dinners. Staff was friendly at all times.

Room Tip: Good for short trips , not really for families with children
