Finding great food especially when you are alone, have no experience in a new place and struck with the hunger pangs is a major catastrophe. Thankfully, if you're shopping around in Center Point, economical food is in abundance. You can literally try out the food around the place outside if you're feeling adventurous or just blend in with the lunch crowd at the basement food court for some local variety. It is here that you get to pick and choose the bunch of dishes made available on the dish stands but be forewarned that hygiene purposes may be a question of conscience. I use to drop by here to have a quick lunch - several times on the vegetarian only shop and sometimes on other stalls that sells meat. I have to admit that for a quick hunger satisfying meal, this place is a heaven, but expect a lot of rowdy noises ranging from chit-chatting to kids screaming at the top of their lungs. In view of the lunch hour, you might need to share your table with others as well, but people are generally nice around here so that's not a problem.
Though, if that's not the kind of environment that you are used to in dining, you may want to try the franchise outlets instead - KFC and McDonalds are just a distance away. Oh and uh... most of the food outlets here promotes self service.
