“Affordable India Cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Located in Little India and surrounded by shops selling Indian clothes. Lots of variety of normal and vegetarian food. However the seating needs to be improved as it is hard to get a seat during lunch time.

“Just Like You're in India!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

This place was recommended by the hostess at Chew Jetty homestay as the best Indian restaurant in town. She was right on! We traveled to South India a few years ago and the food here was every bit as good as it was in South India. We had a fish Chettinad that was to die for. the mutton curry (goat) was really, really good. All the breads are freshly made right in front of the restaurant and were oh so good. We also went here a couple of times for breakfast and were not disappointed. If you go here, you will be one of the few tourists among many Indian locals...a good sign.

“Good Authentic Option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

This is one of many options in Little India, and we found it to be a nice place for a quick bite at lunch. We shared one dish, and had a few cups of tea.

Food was good and tasty, and the service was OK.

There is smallish area as soon as you go in or a larger air conditioned room, both seemed OK.

I probably wouldn’t make a special trip to go there, but if you’re in Little India, and feel puckish, then this place is a nice stop off.

“Good naan.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

I prefer the Sri Ananda in Tanjung Bungah. There seem to be far fewer rats. The banana leaf and pickle is good.

“Yummy !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

The best indian cuisine in Penang !! Breads are freshly made, curry chicken and best to be eaten in the morning; hot and spicy! Chicken varuval are the spiciest and the best in town :)
