“Gem of Penang street food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013 via mobile

I totally love it!! My favourite noodle. The soup is full of flavour, the noodles r so soft n smooth. I had never come across anything like this though I am a Penangnite. Now they have their own shop for us to sit in. Cleaner and better.

“In my opinion, the best kueh chiap in Penang”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

Cheap and tasty kueh chiap. The place is always buzzing with people, but the service is quite fast. Finding a place to sit might pose a challenge if your party is larger than a group of three.

“Delicious Duck Koay Chiap”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Knew this stall from a Taiwan TV programme, I have been looking forward to trying this. The soup tastes good indeed. Generous serving with duck meat, pork innards and an egg. The sauce is extremely good. Worth to give it a try!

“Springy Noodle-Dumplings, Succulent Meats”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Call out your order to the man assembling the food after browsing what you want. If unsure, order a bowl of mixed meats with a dollar amount.

You cannot go wrong unless you are squeamish about having to eat organ meats or something like that.

The broad slabs of rice noodle have an authentic, hand crafted springiness that is rare these days. The broth is deceptively simple and unpretentious yet alluring. The meats are simply the product of hours of simmering. Perhaps the best Koay Chiap ever.
