5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

Customer driven service in an boutique atmosphere. All with a smile.
The room was very nice, the shower was perfection.
Noordin street isn't much of a street at first sight. But the location near to Komar (busstation), shops and authentict restaurants is very good.

Excellent place, nicely done with antiques/vintage, boutique style, large rooms + bathroom, good service and breakfast. Relaxing roof top 'garden'.
Slightly outside main Chinatown area (15 min walk) but therefore quiet. Car parking outside on not so busy street.
Management not fussy about having a 12yr child as an 'extra guest sharing room', no extra charges except for breakfast which was a reasonable RM 15.

Wonderful heritage house. The rooms and the hotel are tastefully designed. The service extremely nice and warm-hearted. We stayed there during our 3-weeks trip through Malaysia and Singapore and really enjoyed the nice experience and atmosphere of heritage Georgetown and especially of this hotel. Absolutely recommendable!

Stayed here for 2D1N, it was an experience. From the location, room, library right down to the cafe is presented well. The service is excellent. But I need to share some cons for their improvement. Firstly, being an engineer myself, this is worth checking from the owners. Almost all the cablings are not concealed and done haphazardly. Surprisingly, knowing this is a hotel, matters as such should be taken seriously. The biggest disappointment is the garden area. The area is covered with fake grass which is rather unsightly. Nothing compared to the real greens. If you want to stay competitive, these need to be attended immediately. Besides this everything is just fine.

Visited December 2013.

The street house is a beautiful place with excellent elements of heritage, nice people with excellent service, superb food and location-wise close to everything in Georgetown. Complimentary ala carte breakfast was really great and they served us the best 'roti john' that we've ever tasted!

We're very surprise with this new finding, and we will definately be here again the next time we come to Penang.

I came with my parents to visit Georgetown and Penang. We have received one of the warmest welcome I've experienced in an hotel so far. The style of the building (small heritage house) makes the hotel very cosy and peaceful. The open air rooftop is perfect to lay down after a day of walk. The suite was well designed and relaxing. You will be thrilled by your stay and you will receive precise indications from Eric and his colleagues.

The best hotel which I've ever been. I travel often since 2005, but never seen before a combination of excellent service, comfort and good location like in that place. It was like visiting good friends! Great service in the details. Great design, beautiful lounge and terrace. Excellent breakfast a la carte. And very friendly and helpful staff! I miss you guys)
