“Still amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Been to Kek Lok Si temple few times but first time with my 2 boys. We drove all the way up to the Kwan Yin statue in order to avoid hassling through the steps with my 2 very active boys. The scenery up there was amazing, the statue took my breath away. My boys enjoyed the garden and a small pond and they loved the TURTLES most . I must say the turtles are still taken care well, definitely worth visiting !!

“Kek Lok Si Temple- Awesome view from the top of Penang”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Nice scenery. Awesome view of mixture of history and culture. you can take the tram down or up the temple (or both) at the mid hill area. One single trip up at 2.50 RM and a round trip is 5RM.
There is no fee is required to the temple but just the tram ride.

Nice laksa at the coffee shop near the food of the hill. It takes a long wait for it is arrive but it is worth the wait.

“Very serene and beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Working out of KL it was a very nice change of scenery to go visit such a nice and serene temple outside of Penang. There were a bit of tourists but the experience was quite enjoyable nonetheless. One tip: if the lineup to take the incline lift to the Buddha is ridiculously long you can get easily by car/moto. simply get out my the main entrance and turn left (uphill). You can drive your car/moto all the way to the parking lot of the Buddha.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Beautifully large place to wander around and just take in the culture and history. A photographer's playground. Advice to start from the top and work your way down. Also try to coincide your visit with events (not sure when) where this place will be open at night and lit up beautifully.
