Excellent service level and a wonderful restaurant featuring delightful grand piano music. A real pleasure to stay with many surprising touches that add to the experience. This is a place that will linger with you for many years - such is the regal atmosphere and uniqueness. The staff are all attentive and helpful and always ready to help with information and suggestions.

We went to Seven Terraces with high expectations and weren't disappointed. The furnishings and amenities are of exceptional quality with special little touches everywhere . From the welcoming green tea in fine Chinaware, flowers on the bed each night on turn down, iced water provided while using the pool and delightful afternoon tea served daily the service was impeccable without being stiff or stuffy. In fact following Malaysian custom, shoes are optional in all areas. Breakfast is something to look forward to with approx 7 options available cooked to order as well as fresh fruit, juice and hot beverages. The in house restaurant is exceptional. The food was the brilliant and the drink prices really reasonable, not to mention the pianist tinkling away on the grand piano added to a wonderful evening. The staff were welcoming, friendly and interested in all their guests. I would go back to Georgetown just to stay at Seven Terraces. Special thanks to Ewen and Massi.

Stayed at seven t. 2 nights. Rooms are really nice, the small pool sufficient for a nice bath after a long hot day. Can really recommend their inhouse restaurant aswell for dining, the taste was better than michelin restaurants weve been to before, excellent value for money.
We asked the staff about what to do in georgetown, the answers provided gave us excellent experiences.

Although we stayed at another top hotel in Georgetown, our receptionist recommended Seven Terraces Restaurant to us for a meal outside our hotel. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone. Although when we arrived there was no tables available, we were invited to wait for about 30 minutes for a table and were able to buy a drink at the bar. We didn't have to wait that long though. Food was very high quality at a good price. We each had a four course meal with pre dinner cocktails and a drink with dinner for about Aud $37 a head. It is not easy to find, so good directions or a taxi maybe the go, but it is worth it. You will need to book at least 24 hours ahead to guarantee a table as it is very popular.

We stayed at Seven Terraces for 5 nights, a family of four, with 2 teenagers.
We had the Stewart Apartment, which worked really well. It consists of a very large room with king sized four-poster bed, with a second long room off it, down three steps, and separated by a sheer curtain. The kids space has two single four-poster beds. So it is not really a separate room, but effectively provided the kids with their own space. There was a tv in both adult and kids area. Also in the adult's area was a large incredibly ornate daybed, apparently an "opium bed". I chose this suite because it didn't have a staircase to negotiate.
The decoration and furnishing of our rooms, and of the whole hotel, is just divine. We were surrounded by beautiful Chinese furniture and antiques in every area of the hotel. The central courtyard and main foyer areas are large and stunningly beautiful.
Breakfast is served in an open room, where you choose from a lovely menu and they cook your request to order. And if one choice doesn't fill you up (eg teenage son), you can order a second meal.
Service in reception, breakfast room and restaurant is outstanding, warm and friendly (thank you especially Dilip, Yunn, Massi). We ate in the beautiful Kebaya restaurant on our last night, and wished we had gone there earlier. Wonderful food, lovely service, and in particular, a most delightful pianist, who really added to my enjoyment of the evening.
The pool was lovely, not huge, but adequate, and we nearly always had it to ourselves.
We would go back to Penang just to stay at Seven Terraces again.

My wife and myself stayed three nights at 7 Terraces in fascinating Georgetown in July 2014. Our flight arrival and departure times were horrible, but the 7 Terraces staff were so accommodating in welcoming us and attending to us during our stay. The hotel is a true boutique hotel with every comfort and a stunning bathroom with rain shower. Location could not be better as we were in close walking distance to this world heritage town. Dined in first night and it was so good we dined in again. Service, food and ambience excellent. Breakfast in the open courtyard also excellent. This superbly renovated building mirrors the Chinese influence of Georgetown.

After reading such rave reviews, I decided to book a night for a trip in June. We arrived in the early evening and was greeted by the manager himself and the staff. Check in was a breeze and the room was as beautiful as the pictures. The rain shower was great, the decor beautiful and so charming! We did not sample the food but had a good time taking snapshots in the stylish dining room. My husband was impressed! Definitely recommend for those interested in the authentic Baba Nyonya architecture.

Room Tip: Argus Lane suite is a double storey room. Great for couples but the straight up staircase might prov...
