Generally, the property is quite centrally located - about 5 mins walking distance to Komtar, a stone's throw to food outlets and close to major attractions. In fact, the hotel is <100m from the main road (Macalister-end), so no worries about dark streets.
Room-wise, we had two twin rooms and they differ in their layout, so it depends on your luck literally. Mine had the air-con blowing directly at my bed, while the other room had a partition between the sleeping area and the door. The rooms are not exactly spacious, but there is room to move about (even for two bigger build people). Basic tea making facilities, nothing in the fridge, a safe for guests use and a just-enough wardrobe (about 6 hangers?). Toilet-wise is ok - basic toiletries provision but no toothbrush kit / bathrobe / room slippers given. Shower-wise, water temperature a bit not hot enough for me. But the wi-fi is great!
Buffet breakfast is so-so, selection-wise limited. Not much seating space, so you just have to choose your timing wisely. Otherwise, a walk round the corner for more local-style breakfast is possible. The street directly opposite the hotel is converted to a food-filled street after 4pm, so no worries about the lack of food options nearby.
Overall, a basic & clean hotel which justifies the value. Will recommend to fellow travelers and will return to stay.
