Its strategic location with car park facilities is a big plus point for staying here. I stayed in a two-queen-bed room on upper floor (common shared bathrooms & toilets) with my two young boys (2yo & 4yo.) We were quite happy with our brief stay (1 night) here in overall. Due to its hidden location from the busy main road (lebuh chulia), peace & quietness is almost guaranteed for your sleep! We would love to come back again to stay in this lovely heritage hotel and explore more the nearby heritage trails by foot!

Set back away from the road, is this colonial like, very white hotel. Ours was a family room (white) which was very comfortable and very clean. The small ensuite took a bit of getting used to. It’s called a ‘wet bathroom’. The shower is situated above the basin and just everything got wet. You would be best advised not to take any dry clothes in when going in for a shower because there is nowhere far enough from the shower that they would not get wet! TIP: make sure to request a room with attached bathroom because not all the rooms have one and you might have to use the common bathroom. Front desk staff spoke English and were super helpful and very pleasant.
The hotel does not serve any meals. However, there is the most charming little Stardust Café just in front of the hotel which serves the tastiest and cheapest meals. Next door to the Stardust is the Heng Keng hotel which is a great place for western breakfast or pre-dinner drinks in the courtyard.
This hotel is fantastically located within a short walk to Little India and Chinatown. Little India is fantastic; authentic Indian restaurants and shops that carry everything from saris to cooking utensils. Try the Kapitan Indian restaurant where the locals eat so you know it’s got to be good, for a great tandoori. Turn right as you come out of the hotel and head down to the Red Garden night food market where you will get satay, curry, noodles, various wines and beers and live entertainment too!
A great experience and definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in a convenient location.

Spent 3 nights at Chulia Heritage Hotel. The hotel is located in a small lane from the main street of Chulia Lebuh, but it's still accessible. The hotel staff are ever friendly and they do their utmost to help us with directions. It's located in the middle of most of the attractions like Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion and the others. Walkable distance too!

Chose the room with attached shower and I must say I am pretty impress with the service and condition for such a rate!

Beautiful exteriors, amazing location, cute, little but comfy rooms, they have it all, but the bathroom is so small that the shower is directly above the WC! Not sure if all rooms are like that, if yes, that's one thing that they have to rectify. A restaurant would be a plus. Not too many options in the vicinity for vegetarians. The verdict: Definitely recommended, but do ask for a room with a bigger washroom!
