“Excellent value and comfort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2010

This is a spotless hotel within a short stroll to Komtar. We really enjoyed it here rather than on Jalan Penang as it was quiet, relaxing and within easy walking distance of places of interest in Georgetown. We found the staff friendly and polite and would certainly stay here again.

Tip: At the end of the street there is a coconut shop that sells some of the most succulent and fragrant coconuts I have tasted. Ask for 'Pandan' coconut.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful. The extra bed, RM25/night was comfy. Their was no fridge nor a kettle in the room instead they have a drinking fountain on each floor. The room came with an air conditioner and the price was low. The hotel is a few minutes walk to Lorong Selamat, famous for Char Koay Teow. We tried the vegetarian restaurant on the corner of Lorong Selamat/Macalister - cheap, clean and yummy.

Spent 3 nights during the week. Hotel seemed brand new with extremely helpful staff at reception. Gave us suggestions and many directions so we could maximise our short stay. Rooms were quite big and simple. Drinking water available on every floor for free. No restaurants or room service, however, the hotel is a 5 minute walk to a what seemed to be a great small restaurant street with one in general being recommended by lonely planet.

It was nice, clean, and seemed to be well maintained. A little out of the way, no fridge in the room, and other than local channels, only ESPN, CNN and one movie channel available - nothing for the kids to watch. Beds and pillows were rock hard. No dramas with the staff that I recall. Boutique and centrally located? Not by any stretch of the imagination. Oh yeah, they don't provide ice. Come on guys, splurge and get an ice-maker, it'd make a big difference.

This hotel is a little out of the way, but it's close to restaurants and fantastic food stalls.
The place is new, modern and very clean. We really liked the look of our room.
The WiFi is not very strong and frustrating.
It's a great value hotel considering the price you pay.
