“Very Nice Place, Good Value, Nice Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2010

We stayed in the Family room 23 & 23A, all the way in the back close to the back entrance which is locked after 11pm. We had a comfortable bed an the children had a bunk bed. Electrical warm water heater was good but not really needed, toilet paper and towels are in the room and sheets were clean.
There are tables and benches in the back and there is a big fridge that we could use. Outdoor showers for rinsing off the sand and salt and lines for hanging clothes to dry.
Free internet in the restaurant.

There are renovations on the beach front at Teluk Nipah beach (dec 2010) which made it not so nich to stay there. If you walk to the beach (1min.) and then to the right for 4min. you reach Coral Beach which is much nicer, cleaner and quieter. Places where you can use beach beds and food, drinks and restrooms are avaiable.
Eat at Daddy's Cafe, very nice

Nipah Bay Villas were one of the first villas on Pangkor about 20 yrs ago. They're in the best location near the beach but not near the noise. I can't believe Lonely Planet hasn't picked up on them. They have loads of rooms of varying size and standard and are always full of friendly, mature travellers. Most people end up moving there from other places. They have the cleanest rooms we saw on the island for the best rates, and in the right location for beach, food and activities. The breakfast is usually included in the price or negotiate it down if you don't want breakfast (about 80 MYR a night for a double - some are rooms, some are lovely chalets). They're clean, have tv's, safety deposit box at reception, can book buses and taxis, hire motorbikes etc, speak good english, are family run, and honest people. We couldn't believe no one had recommended this place to us! Coral Bay beach and Daddy's Cafe is just around the corner - go there for your meals, everything on the menu is delicious (and safe!).

The Nipah Bay Resort is a very good investment on a side street of Teluk Nipah. There are chalets available in different standards. We had a standard equipped chalet (RM 100 incl. Breakfast) with TV / AC / fridge / hot n 'cold shower / big bed, and a lot of space.
The Bathroom is quite small.
The chalet had a small terrace with two chairs and table.
All chalets are in a beautiful garden and it is very quiet. Everything is very clean and well maintained.
The resort features a restaurant and a rooftop cafe. In the cafe they do no more serve some food or drinks but you can still relax there on the top of the building.
Everything in the village on foot to reach within a few minutes, the beach (Coral Bay) in about 5 minutes. (NOTE: the monkeys on the beach trying to steal everything and can be very aggressive).
The staff is extremely nice and very helpful.
All in all, a top property.

Breakfast here is absolutely lovely! The mango juice and the fruit pancakes are perfect.

More generally speaking this place is comfortable, and if you haggle a bit great value for money too. As far as Pulau Pankor goes, I think that you won't find a better place for the same money; but then I didn't feel any need to find out.

A nice plus out on the Island: HBO.

it was hard to chose where to stay on Pangkor because there are alot of options and a variety of prices. nipah bay villa turned out to be a perfect spot. well situated with a 5 min walk to the nicest beach on the island, lovely staff, decent & clean rooms. you could definitely spend alot more to get more luxury but there is no need too....we loved the place!

The room was small and smelly. The air conditioner leaked water all over my shoes and luggage. The hotel staff didn't care and didn't bother to repair it either.
