“Green colour Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

More than a year didn't go to Ipoh, on the way to Stadium a green building appears,Paragon City Hotel had change a new outlook.
Check in the hotel & found that the room had just recently renovated, wall with new paint & floor with new carpet.
The room rate is comfortable with this new look.

The stay is excellent with its location & quiet nearby to food price. The room is clean although is small (budget cost). I feel comfortable & valuable to stay. Front office staff is very helpful when I required and answer everything

This is a no frills type of place but for the money I paid I was very happy with it indeed. The room is simple and clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

It is a very good budget hotel, with comfortable beds and a nice room. A good value of money for travelers on a budget.

we stayed here during the Chinese New Year 10-12 February 2013. The hotel website is misleading, it's really below average hotel, well the price is just 69MYR per night 17 EUR per night. The service is ok, they tried to serve our large group. The food was terrible and not reflecting the tradition of Ipoh. The location is scary! There is no balcony, be careful not to lean on the windows as they can open and you fall down. Instead of using the lift - better take the stairs. The noise from corridors is very loud and distrurbing. There is no fitness center, No Conference room

I was happy Internet WIFI was accessible and stable from my room.

Please don't stay there unless you cant find a decent hotel.

Room Tip: The website is misleading; if you want to save money then you can go there. The Thai massage is good...

We stayed here over the Christmas and was very disappointed with the service that was provided to us. The size of the room was ok but the sheets were stained and the towels in the room was dirty as well. The room was very stuffy and smelled of smoke. We needed an additional towel for the night and the house-keeping told us that they couldn't give us a towel as they no additional towel in the hotel. They were very rude and were not considerate at all. Bear in mind, as a family we booked 8 rooms and yet couldn't just spare us towel.

The Paragon City Hotel had definitely seen better days and did not live up to the internet photos or those on its glossy brochure!
Our room was dark and dingy and the bathroom also looked a little in need of renovation but the water was hot and all functioned well. The carpets in the corridor had also seen better days.

The location was a little far out of the main town but there were some good restaurants in a medium sized shopping precinct within walking distance.
The staff were courteous and helpful, and our breakfast was an Asian style buffet and much better than many other aspects of this hotel.

the worst hotel in history! their service is absolutely horrible, the lobby stinks of eggs and the receptionists do not speak english. they only want ur upfront payment n after that its ur headache to get to ur room with all ur bags cuz the bell boy will not be bothered to come forward, neither will the so called "head" receptionist instruct him to do so although he was sitting right next to her! the bathroom door cannot be closed, there are scratches on every room door as thought its some kind of break in tactic used. They will NOT give u extra pillows. blankets, or iron n the receptionist will advise u to bring ur own next time if it is such a problem!(WTF?!) becz they fear tht extra pillows, blankets, towels or iron given will be stolen by their customers who CAN AFFORD TO PAY FOR THEIR HOTEL! They have excellent karaoke services..how do I know? BECUZ U CAN HEAR THE LOCAL MALAYSIAN IDOL WANABES SCREECHING AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS IN A LANGUAGE U DONT UNDERSTAND ALL THE WAY UP TO THE 3RD FLOOR in the middle of the night!! so forget sleeping. beds have springs popping out of them so there goes ur good night sleep after a tiring journey. Someone said u get what u paid for? of course u do,u can only accept such a service if u paid RM10.00 per night and not RM 199.00 per night. this kind of treatment can be accepted from a hostel or a "rumah tumpangan" NOT a 2* or 3 * hotel. Go to Tune Hotel,Fair Park hotel or Rega lodge hotel(if u r on a budget) instead. this place should be boycotted by everybody in order for it to be shut down for good!
