We stayed one night in an executive deluxe room at Vistana Hotel costing Ringgit 190++ (total: Ringgit 220) without breakfast.
Check-in was brisk and we were given a room on the top floor (6th floor) near the lift. First impression was good: the room although not very spacious, was very clean and newly redecorated with a pool view. I like the king size bed with its soft mattress although my husband felt it was too soft. The bathroom has nice modern sanitary fittings and great shower. Complimentary wi-fi in the room was a little slow. We made use of the gymnasium with ample modern equipment and open 24 hours.
The hotel is located a little away from the city centre and not within walking distance to shopping malls. The one way traffic system makes it inconvenient to drive towards the city centre. It is not safe to walk along the main road to go to the food centre across the river. The only way is to walk around the back of the hotel and cross the river using the dodgy looking suspension bridge. I did not dare to attempt to use the bridge so we had to drive. Car park was quite full when we returned due to events held in the hotel.
Unfortunately the room we were allocated was below some rooftop air condensing unit. The noise was quite loud at night so we had trouble sleeping. Upon checking out the next day, I made it a point to mention to the front desk staff when she asked how was our stay. I have marked down the hotel due to the issue with the noise.
