“Gambang average place to visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

The water park is below average compared to sunway lagoon or others. Too crowded with long queue to purchase tickets .

“Reasonable price tickets & food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014 via mobile

We had fun at Gambang Water Park by June 2011. The price for adult is reasonable ie. RM21.90, cheaper than many other water park. We stayed at Kuantan and driving an hour to here. The park is as big as Sunway Lagoon. However the food inside is cheaper than Sunway Lagoon. Kids were playing many games until 5pm only we left. We will miss this place!

“3 Days 2 Nights - Bukit Gambang, Sg. Lembing & Kuantan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

There were 44 of us traveling in an excursion coach. I had visited Bukit Gambang before but this time with different experience.
We were put up at Arabian Bay Resort. Family Deluxe (2 double bed room to a unit with air-condition and attached bathroom), private balcony, living area (no air-condition except ceiling fan),furnished with room amentities. Quite comfortable and easy access to main lobby. We visited the 138 acres Safari Park via tram. But, only saw animals along the tram route. There were many more animals that we could see if we took a walk. Weather was very hot then and also we have time constraint too, so, it's fine with us. Dinner was at Sahara Palmae where we were able to see a pair of white lion moving freely (thru a glass screen on one side of the restaurant) while dinning.
After dinner, we proceeded to watch Tarzan Show & Fire Show.
Next morning, we visited the Water Park which was not completed during my last visit. It should be quite fun for kids, but not for us.
Next stop was Sg. Lembing where we had lunch there. We waited for quite a while as it was one and the only one Chinese Restaurant there. Though we called up to remind them on our booking, we had to wait for almost half an hour to get the 4 tables ready for us ! Food served was very small portion and the cooking is nothing to shout !
Visited Sg. Lembing Museum and Crystal House after lunch, then to The Great Mines (The El-Dorado Of the East), quite interesting, only RM7.50 entrance ticket for senior citizen, 50% off the normal fare. There was only a short train ride (about 80 meters) into the mine, then we had to disembark and walk another 500 meters to explore. It was very cooling inside, certain stretch was wet and the floor was a bit uneven, with the dim light installed, we had to watch our steps especially for senior citizens. Just followed the route and read the tableau of each process. There were also models with voice over in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Suppose to have an simulated lift to bring visitors 1200 meters lower, but we didn't get to experience that ! What a disappointment ! We had to walk our way out after that.
Checked in to Pollock View Resort. To me, I considered it as "homestay" ! It was very quite at night, we spent our time with karaoke and some had wine outside after the heavy BBQ dinner.
Had breakfast at food court next to the market place down the road the next morning. Done some shopping on local products (famous for their local coconut biscuits) and left for Teluk Cempaka Beach in Kuantan. Free & easy. Shopping again for local products like preserved sea food etc.
It was quite fun with nice company of 44 pax. The only set back was : We didn't get to hike up the Panorama Hill to see sunrise, and the Rainbow Waterfall due to time constraint. This is the second time that I had missed these places ! Some missed to cross the suspension bridge as it was under repair !

“Localised Theme Park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

We were here because we were given special rate (coupons from school: RM19.50 for adult, RM14.50 for child @ Water park & RM16.50 for adult, RM13.50 for child @ Safari Park). It was considered heavily discounted. The main attraction of the water park would be the slides. There are altogether 5 slides with 2 of them not requiring rented tubes (The Six Lane Racer and The Family Raft Ride). There is a wave beach, swimming pool for kids and a lazy river (with waves). It is quite a decent water park considering the entrance fee. However, you just have to prepare RM100 to be topped up into your bracelet. This is because everything on loan in the water park comes with a deposit which can be collected after you leave the park. Everything, from tube, to locker or hut have to be paid. I was a little uncomfortable seeing almost every one in the park jumping into the pools, slides in pants, shorts, shawls, tee shirts ...
The Safari Park consists two parts of visit; the Wild Savannah and The Night Safari. The camel ride only starts around 3pm, and all the shows have their timetables. It is better for you to plan your visit ahead to avoid disappointment. You can take a tram to Eagle station, and walk from there to Wild Savannah, another platform for a half an hour tour in tram. You get to see lions, tigers, ostriches, hyenas, antelopes, deers, cows, buffalos, goats, horses, hippos, zebras. My advice is take the tram to Eagle station and visit the Wild Savannah first. Then on your way down, walk through the Simba Hill, Foreign Village and Forest Land to see bear, jackal, primates, birds, reptiles, malayan tigers. At Simba Hill (the main entrance), you get to see the white lion. There is a petting kingdom at Foreign Village. You will see horses in the stables too. The Shetland Pony ride is also found here.
We didn't watch any of the show, and we did not join the night jungle.
If you stay in Arabian or Caribbean Resort, there is a shuttle bus to take you to the theme park.

“Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

We went to Bukit Gambang Water Park on 30 April , 3 PAX.
Each ticket cost RM 25.90 ( quite costly ) .

But we are very disappointed ,with the facilities at the water park.

We have walk and climb many stairs to play the slide game, but once we reach there, we were told
to but the Buoy at RM 10.00. Why this was not informed earlier at the ticket counter? We have to go back down. and up again the stairs. The game is limited, only few that is giving excitement to adult .

We felt really helpless and RM25.90 for this water park is not worth it.
Plus you have to buy again many thing in the water park to play for certain games.

We will not go there again.

Thanks
