THE ENTIRE HOLIDAY WAS NEGATIVE, VERY VERY NEGATIVE.
BAD MANAGEMENT, LOUSY ACCOMODATION, MEDIOCRE PARKS
As all business are, purchases/booking through resort's website weren't much hassle, was a breeze actually. Bookings for a family of six were made within 10 minutes. Booked a Family suite and Studio Suite to fit all six of us, all with complete package for meals and parks. Simple and nice.
All Hell broke loose the minute we stepped in the resort.
Apparently Family suite is in one building and Studio suite is on the other. Commuting between the rooms takes almost 10 minutes through connected walkways and not very pactical with young children. The suites and the dark walkways that lead to it smelt of cigaratte smoke everywhere.
The suites were very basic, amenities to the bare minimum-Motel standards (by International standards). As we had both types of room, we made comparisons:
Studio suites - Beds were wide and okay, TV more standard size, with a couple more ASTRO channels, bathroom were slightly better with standard shower screen and centralised water heater. Bath and face towels provided.
Family suites(Dormitary suites i call this)-
Beds were the same, TVs were the tiniest i've ever seen (15 inches, really?) and NO Astro channels. Attached bathrooms has shower without shower curtain or screen? Shower still uses electric shower. Wardrobes without doors, side tables made of planks stuck on the wall? Whole suite is so empty, echo is so prominent. Only bath towels provided, NO face towels.
Moving on to the Parks- upon check in were given all vouchers as stated in package, no explanation given whatsoever. NO RESORT OR PARK MAPS PROVIDED WHATSOEVER.
Thereon, the trip was a BIG DISASTER when we had to stumble all around the resort not knowing what to expect and do? Even our National Zoo has a map available for purchase! The Safari park had such poor signages and such heavy constructions were still on-going, as though we were in construction site!
Food and snack outlets were the worst I've ever seen. No vending machines or decent snack kiosks around the park.
The only positive was the Dinner we had with the White Lion at Simba Hill, which we paid separately. Food was good and staff there were attentive. (A small note though, having only 3 menus for the entire restaurant is not very impressive).
The wild savannah was a good concept but could do better under better management. (We nearly missed the main attraction as no signs indication that leads to this-we stumbled upon the ride!)
Never Stay in the resort
