I would say the Hotel as below;
Good points
1. Cozy, clean & very nice hotel room
2. Hotel staff were great! All staff shows very high respect to guests
3. Biggest shopping mall in Kuantan is just across the road
4. Very reasonable & affordable room price.. Furthermore we stayed during chinese new year
5. Great food at breakfast buffet!

Not so good points
1. Quite small swimming pool as its being located on level 4.. Not so suitable for kids
2. Kids play room is just so so

Hi,

A few point to note about this hotel:
1) Considered as one of the newest hotel in Kuantan.
2) Location is opposite East Coast Mall, so if you want to chill out at the mall, there's plenty of eatery in there, Starbucks, Big Apple donut, Black Canyon etc, shopping for cloths or anything.
3) The rooms are spacious, good deco work, decent bed and pillow, bathroom is good, good shower, has fridge in the room, bathrobe, toiletries, hair-dryer and etc.
4) Has an infinite pool on the 4th floor, a good size swimming pool overlooking the city, have pool table, dart board, Yoga room, and Gym.
5)Breakfast, have aplenty of food and choices, the "nasi lemak" is especially really good.
6)Check in and Check out fast and efficient, no what so problem at all.
7)Ample parking space and its complementary.
8)Telok Cempedak beach is about 20mins drive from the hotel depending on the traffic condition.
9) Has spa and massage service too, though I did not try it as the price was quite expensive.
10) The hotel has a tailor shop too located at lobby level.
Overall it was a pleasant stay, no hassle, people were friendly and welcoming at the hotel.
Thanks

Room Tip: Choose high floor for the view of the city and beach.

I love staying in hotels. Instead of spending on clothes and jewelleries, I splurge by trying out various hotels in many places - even ones only one hour from home.

I have stayed at Zenith on many occasions - ranging from when it first opened till about a few weeks ago.

The Good
New hotel - nice fresh decor and clean. No wear and tear you would expect from an old hotel. I love the spacious lobby and check in and check out has always been fast and efficient. Nothing out of the ordinary worth mentioning here - most hotels are that at best - cold, impersonal but efficient and fast rather than friendly, warm and personal. But then, to each his or her own - and to me this doesn't affect my enjoyment of my stay in a hotel.

Room - good size, but incomparable to its nearest competitor MS Garden whose rooms are HUGE. Bath and shower also good with adequate toiletries. Room comes with the usual - ironing board, safe, mini bar. TV reception sometimes leaves much to be desired - certainly the appropriate department can do something about ensuring crystal clear reception to the channels. This isn't just happening in Zenith but other hotels I have stayed in also.

Breakfast - good selection - vegetarian, fruits, continenal and the customary nasi lemak. There is also the egg station, waffle station and a stall making noodles and sometimes even laksa.

Parking - more than adequate.

The Bad
Only one gripe - I read somewhere among the many reviews that the hotel gives off a 'cheap and stingy management' aura. From all the times I stayed here, Zenith Hotel has always served small tubs of yoghurt rather than have their patrons scoop it from bowls. I have always appreciated that.

However, recently on one of my trips, I noticed a sign at the yoghurt section which states "All yoghurt must be consumed in the restaurant. Patrons are not allowed to bring them out".

Please do not make your customers feel like they're thieves just because they took out a small tub of yoghurt. Which will only cost you about rm2 pertub. You're already overcharging us for your mediocre-tasting breakfast buffet. If you didn't want the customers taking out the yoghurt, then serve them in bowls rather than in tubs.

Stayed only 1 night here. Booked a twin room at a special rate (on booking.com) and was pleasantly surprised. The room is very generous in size, as is the bathroom! And the beds are comfortable. Free wifi too. Stayed in 1421. The breakfast buffet which was included in our room rate was very good too. Huge selection and good quality food. For the shoppers, it is across the road from a huge mall! Parking is free for hotel guests.

Stayed here for 2 nights in Nov with my family. We had the 2 bedroom suite, but it's actually 2 connecting rooms. Hence, there is no living and dining area. However, hotel and room is clean and comfortable. Location is good, opp a shopping mall.

As part of my business trip, i had to stay at Zenith Hotel Kuantan. This is one of the luxury hotel in the city and near to most of the major shops/restaurants/bus stand/taxi and other required things.
During my stay, the hospitality of hotel people was very good. They provide you GYM,swimming pool and few indoor games facilities. The breakfast is complimentary and you can find wide varieties of dishes with lot of choice. Nearby you have a big shopping mall which is biggest in the city and you can spend your time a lot. The hotel management will decorate the hotel if there is any festival nearby and also invite their frequent guests to join the celebrations.

Considering our experience staying at this hotel in December 2012, rating it as "ok" would probably be a bit too kind. Yes the hotel location is very convenient as it is directly opposite the mall and it is at the centre of the town.. bla bla bla as also mentioned by other reviewers. I went here for my company's training course. Personally i had bad experience, not sure about others though. Housekeeping was slow. they normally came in only at 2-3pm, (even after we phoned them). Checking out was even worse, as the system was down and need to queue for like almost an hour. I can understand computers may malfunction, but they should have been more prepared with contingency plans.
