“Surprisingly Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

We had dinner at Satay Zul. The place was easy to locate. Just alongside Vistana Hotel on Main Street heading towards Teluk Chempedak. We found out about the place on the web and based on the reviews we decided to check it out. Busy place however with two floors and fast service, we managed to get a table. We ordered 15 Chicken Satay, 4 Nasi Impit, 1 Nasi Lemak with eggs and 4 drinks = RM25. Cheap! The chicken satay and nasi impit was good. Nasi lemak was ok. Overall, good place to dine in Kuantan.

“Taste Really Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Hi,

We pit stop while we were driving around Kuantan and saw this shop called Satay Zul, this particular shop was located near Sri Kuantan Garden.

The chicken satay was extremely good and taste so good, no fats, good proportion of chicken size.
We also tried the lamb satay, though it tasted good, but the meat was not cooked so well and too much fat on the meat.
They have plenty of other meats, beef, rabbit, and other internal parts of an animal :)
Well basically we loved the chicken satay and please fell free to try all other varieties of meat they offer.
Evening could be abit overcrowded, so try to go there early around mid afternoon.
The location is quite near to Telok Cempedak Beach too.
Thanks

“Outstanding food at bargain prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

The cooking process is a site to behold. The cooks are grilling seemingly hundred-so of different kinds of satay at one time on roaring hot coals in front of the restaurants with makeshift fans stoking the heat.
Needless to say, it is an experience that Kuantan visitors should see.
As for the taste, it is wonderful. The Mee (Noodles) were cooked to perfection. The chicken and mutton satays were brillant. And whole thing cost me 12 ringgits (about four bucks including a soft drink) .
Highly recommende this place.

“Good Taste with reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

The satay is good with reasonable price. The food serving speed is quite fast and a lot of waiters/waitresses to serve in the restaurant. What I am not satisfy is the waiter may forgot what you ordered and your food maybe missing in action. If you feel it's slow, you better remind the waiter to check on the order.

“Really great satay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Pretty quick with the food. Sometimes a little slow with drinks. Usually plenty of seating. Has a take-away window with seats for waiting. The beef is generally good. The chicken is always lean. :)
