The market at Cameron is quite segmented. There are few high-end places (e.g., Smoke House) and many low-end budget places. Lots of places to keep European and American back-packers happy with RM25/night dorm rooms. But in the middle of the market there isn't much. The Copthorne is one example of about three in total. The hotel service is good and the staff are friendly. The hotel is noisier than I expected and despite some superficial recent renovations it is rundown and feels dated. Forget getting good coffee and cocktails at the Cricket Lounge are dreadful. Breakfast food is not extensive, but good quality. The chef is very good. I'll stay here again but only because the view is great and the price is reasonable.

I've stay here before (formerly Equatorial Hotel). The reception service is good and no problem checking in. It was refreshing with so beautiful flowers and plant surrounding this hotel. Relax the mind and enjoying the scenery but then this time my stay was not so pleasant as before. Not sleeping well cos the bed is hard and noisy on the 10th floor. Breakfast was awesome with many choices but many flies around. Not healthy need improvement and upgrade...

Room Tip: Higher and Quiet floor with balcony

I am from Singapore and I had my traditional wedding in Cameron Highlands due to preference of mine and wife. During my wedding, I had booked over 15 various hotels for friends, colleagues and relatives. However this hotel which situated at the summit of Cameron Highlands has been overlooked as an accommodation option due to the proximity of the hotel and temple in Tanah Rata. So I was sharing with my wife that this hotel could be the only major place in Camerons that we did not stay. So rightfully 3 years after our wedding, my wife's colleague and friends organized an outing to Cameron Highlands and I manage to sway the whole group to this hotel but what awaits at the hotel is quite disappointing. Following is the review based on areas covered:

1.) number one problem in this hotel - it is a highland and the visitors pre-requisite will be hot water service for shower and this hotel grab number one spot for worst water heater problem. They got to do some major upgrade about this hot water system as we also heard another family complaining with a duty manager about the same problem.
2.) The room space is large for the standard of rooms generally in Camerons but the room are tired looking. From the shower room till the TV and balcony. The bed is passable standard for budget rate hotel but not for this brand hotel.
3.) For the premium price they command, I was surprised the indoor hot pool is in such a bad condition and again the hot pool is not even mildly lukewarm but freezing cold. Seriously this hotel's management must be very busy with something else other than managing this hotel.
4.) Breakfast is very mundane and I could not even remember any signature food being exceptional.
5.) The hotel lobby looks like a state funeral environment with flags all over but not lively or creative in anyway to make the lobby vibrant....quite sad to see such a huge lobby space is being underutilized.

I might be one of the most qualified person to comment about B&B & F&B place in Camerons due to my hundreds of trip to this highland and this hotel is one place that I would never set foot again!!!

Room Tip: Simply do not stay on the apartment wing but do ask for the hotel room wing right above the lobby.

First of all, the staffs are very friendly and nice to us. We got room 215. The room is quite spacious as two queen bed were adjoined together. The room was clean and the toilet is very satisfying. Very nice room for a reasonable price i must say.

We get a room facing a construction site. It is noisy.
The room itself a bit dusty (maybe because it is close with the construction area) and has carpet smell.
Still, great breakfast at Coffee House. The hotel staff were friendly too.

Just spend one night at this hotel. The concierge was friendly and attentive. Reception was good. Balcony from our room offered nice view of vegetables garden. The room have basic amenities but no bathrobe available. Breakfast at Coffee House was very good with big spread. From the cold to hot dishes was excellent. But if possible the chef can just put the sausage, beef bacon and turkey ham into buffet rather doing ala minute, You have queue ( almost 20 minute) to wait your turn to request for it. Hotel also very closed to a few strawberry park..

Room Tip: Ask room with balcony to enjoy the scenery. Night so cold until no need to use the fan.

We stayed here a week ago and stayed in room 825.we book through booking.com and request for higher floor room, with nice view and away from lift. We was given exactly as per our request. Check in was efficient and welcome drink was served to us. Bellman assist us with our luggage to room. Room was very big and spacious, clean room with free wifi. Breakfast was good plenty of choices to choose from. Freshly brewed coffee, egg and sausage station which was prepared ala minute. Enjoyed my breakfast during our stay. We stayed for a very short holiday but this stay was made memorable. Will be back soon with family
