“Needs Upgrades and Proper Maintenece”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

We arrive at Natasya Reception earlier than check-in time, however the room was already available for us. Had to drive from the reception to the assigned apartment. We got the apartment on 2nd floor which was actually downstairs (the parking area was at level 3). At first glance the apartment was spacious and clean. It had a balcony facing the Kea Farm that was splendid view. It fits me and my family of four excellently. We was also informed that there was phone in the apartment and we shall need to dial "0" for any assistance. The apartment was equipped with basic necessities such as lcd tv with few astro channels, a fridge and a microwave. Wifi was advertised but was unavailable due to some technical errors (have so been told).

Than we start to notice few shortcomings. First, we had two super size singles instead a large bed that that I had personally requested while booking ant Booking.com. Tried to dial "0" as they had mentioned earlier but the phone was not working. So we had to drive back to the office to get some clarification. The staff there mentioned that Natasya Resort does not have a large double bed. It has only two super single bed and a sofa bed in their apartments, the had mentioned this to Booking.com. But the message was never conveyed to me, who screwed up I don't know but both Booking.com and the resort had my email and contact number could easily informed me. This does ruins your mood after a long drive. We had complained about the faulty phone and a technician was sent to our apartment soon. We also noticed that the stopper for the bathtub was missing, we informed this to the technician once he arrived at the apartment and he informed that the housekeeping team will send the stopper soon. After sometime our doorbell rang. The stopper was sent by one of the housekeeping staff. The stopper looks a bit awkward more like a sink stopper than a tub stopper, so I quickly raced to the tub and test it. As I had thought the stopper was loose. We went to the door and like magic the housekeeping staff already disappear. I had my brother running to the parking area but the guy had long been gone. However we met the same technician that sent a replacement phone. We told him about the stopper problem and he was helpful enough to come in the apartment with few stopper, test it, and offered us the one working. He also mention that the water heating system at the apartment uses an individual boiler which may accommodate the use of 3-4 people depending on their usage. Shall the hot water finish we shall need to wait 30 minutes before we can enjoy another hot shower. Not actually an extra point here but at least both me and my family had some heads up on the apartments water heater.

Since the bed was two super single we had to do some furniture rearrangements to accommodate the kids. There was only two towel in the apartment and we had to request for another. The housekeeping came the next day and replaced the towels but only gave two towels back. By the time we notice this it was quite late on our second day and we was just tired and was not in the mood for more complaining. In addition the bathroom tile was cold and so slippery when wet. The management may consider to put in non slip mat on their tiles otherwise they can expect to see lifeless body of their customers laying cold in their bathroom sometime in the future.

Overall my wife and brother was happy with the stay at Natasya Resort, for me personally I had seen and been in better resorts and hotel. Judging by its location, Natasya Resort has a lot of potential. They need to upgrade with better facilities and the have to maintain it well. Its a huge lost if they keep running on what they have now.

Stayed in 1 bedroom apartment with 2 bathroom + kitchen. We've our own balcony & also a sofa bed in the living room. Overall we can fit at least 5 adult in a room. However, no cooking & barbeque allowed in the room.

The temperature was quite cold 15C due to the fact that its quite high up the mountain. The bathroom was damp. The floor easily wet. The bathroom need to improve. Its quite old

The location was very strategic which is located near the Kea Farm & just beside Equatorial. Its just walking distance. Breakfast is a problem if you're not having one because the nearest halal food is in Brinchang town.

Pro's :- Near to the Kea Market.

Cons :- The area around the hotel has a very bad traffic jem. Its a stand still jem especially during long holidays.

Tips :- Kea Farm opens as early as 7.30am. Go early

The location is very good - close to many strawberry parks, a must visit daily market just a few hundreds meters away and one of the coolest point in Cameron Highlands.
The resort is very comfortable, room are spacious with living area equipped with good facilities, and has balcony with a nice mountains scenery and fresh air.
Free usage of swimming pool and other facilities in adjacent hotel is added-value.
Price is very reasonable and can be very cheap during off-season.
I recommend a stay for small family or couple who prefer apartment-style accommodation.

Stayed there in Dec 2012.

Plus point.... 1)Huge balcony with gd view. Lots of fresh air.
2) Spacious apartment.

Demerits.....1) sofa bed linen badly torn and lots of hairs and dirt. Other bedlinen had a moldy smell.
2) bathrooms were filthy. No shower curtain and we had to wet the toilet floors.
3) Free WIFI? It was non existent totally.
4) There is a phone in the apartment but there are no instructions for you to call the reception. If you needed anything, pls walk all the way out to the reception which can be very far away depending on your unit location. By the way, the phone isn't working. It was only there for decorative purpose I guess.
5) Resort offered breakfast delivery. We ordered but it never arrived the next morning. We were in the apartment and waited an extra 20mins after the said delivery time. When we asked them later, they claimed that they were at our apartment but no one answered the door. Our door was wide open by the way.
6) If you aren't driving, it can be a hassle to walk out to the reception. Works better if you have a car.

Overall, this resort is suitable for the budget conscious. Basic cleanliness isn't there. Was a dusty apartment. Badly maintained resort. Will not recommend to friends. We will rather have a smaller but clean apartment.

Went in april2012 ourselves with KONSORTIUM coach. Left our luggage with the receptionist cos it was too early to check in but we still check in earlier thn the stated check In time . Had a small golf-car to drive us there with our luggage. Large apartment, 2 toilets , 1 room and 1 kitchen with microwave. Love the sofa and great view frombalcony !! The resort offers tours but kinda costly so we went with titiwangsa ! One of the guides, gorfin(?) was telly professional and friendly! Resort is near equatorial but kinda ulu to walk up to main road. There's a convenience shop (we bought masimo bred there) and a vegetarian restaurant at reasonable pricings! Food are acceptable. Near the kea farm and street market . Rec to try the fried mushroom and sweet potatoes, not to forget the corns!

The resort is located at the highest point of Cameron Highlands. Just imagine the driving experience just to get here, at Brinchang town. We purposely plan our stay on April weekend (less rain and no school holliday). Booked through its direct website, we managed to get good bargain (other hotels charged extra RM100 on average). First thing that we really enjoyed was the big external balcony facing the big tea farm.Imagine the fresh air breeze and cool sensation. Our room were equipped with lazy chair and picnic table set.Although they covered the whole floor with wooden decorative flooring, without any heater- it is so damn cold. You need to wear slippers to warm your feet. Its also very convinient to have cable movie channels and sports in the living room while we can relax on the sofa bed. There are many shop houses surrounding the apartment offering essential services such as grocery store, restaurants and karaoke. We frequented the Coffee House inside the Equitorial Hotel since the meal pricing was very reasonable with profesional Chef servings.
We were also lucky since when we check-in,the room was already upgraded with electronics door locks. We checked the main electrical switch board and found out that they are using expensive German's brand swithces that made our piece of mind. The hot water system for shower needs upgrade since it took 30 minutes for the replacement of 25 liter (just enough for two adults at one time).Overall, don't expect too much at this top of the hill location. Just enjoy the farm view and take it easy. Don't drive a lot since the traffic jamn will spoil your holliday.

The place is spacious and big enough for one family. The price is reasonable and offers good value for money. The only drawback is the smell from the nearby farms. The place doesn't have lift. So try to request units that require less walking down the stairs. For full review and pictures u can browse my blog at http://www.klurbanite.com/natasya-resort-cameron-highlands-review/
