“Need upgrading”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Generally, the area was nice, with greenery, ample carpark, good set up.
However, the room was ok but is in need of upgrading. Seems a little run down & has a musky smell maybe because of the old carpet too.
Seminar rooms could be more inviting rather than gloomy.
Nevertheless, the food was good with varieties.

Don't be fooled by the beautiful location it is located in. During our visit with our friends, we had to change rooms 3 times. The rooms by the pool are broken down, lizards and bad air-conditioning. We were moved to the main block thanks to Bashir. The pool had outsiders coming in and swimming in their underwear. Many people were swimming fully clothed and even with their socks on! We complained but the staff merely nodded and did nothing. The main water feature wasn't running and hence no new water was being brought in and we can assume the water wasn't being filtered. It was murky. There were no towels with the attendant saying they ran out of towels. In the main block, the power to our rooms went out at one point but was sorted out quickly. The staff there did their best but working with a badly maintained building. The Chinese restaurant was under staffed. The dessert was too sweet. The breakfast was not much of a spread and slow to refill empty containers. Blame can only be on management and the directors for money, proper investment into maintenance and staff training will solve everything. Seems like this hotel survives on discounted corporate and group packages and there were droves of people coming in. I can only say that those corporations and groups must be cheap to take their employees there.

Stayed in room 709 with 1 super-single and 2 single beds. Room was spacious and clean, but rather old. Good enough for those who aren't super fussy. There's an attached balcony, which is something rare. Pool looks big, but I didn't have time to try it out. Buffet breakfast was standard, but the scrambled eggs were really yummy!

The good thing is, the toilet had a bathtub and a separate shower area, which is rather uncommon in small hotel rooms. This is good, so you won't have to shower standing in the bathtub.

Very suitable for families. Such a hotel in a not-so-popular Seremban, shouldn't be too bad, I guess?

Grounds and pool are well maintained. The rooms are clean but showing a lot of wear an tear. Good value for money though. Hotel is located in a very residential area but still close to town. Sleep quality was poor because of old mattress and smell of cigarette smoke in the room. Would not stay here more than a couple of days.

klana resort was our 2nd choice since the rooms in royale bintang was fully occupied and 2nd best (in our opinion) in terms of location, its quite remote compared to royale bintang.

check in, the receptionist was rude, named jess if i'm not mistaken. the room was old but okay. the toilet was clean but looks very old, probably the worst toilet in a hotel i've ever been to. bed was comfortable. the tv channels, not many varieties but okay. breakfast was not bad. check out, there are 2 male receptionists, the one i dealt with was friendly and nice.

the hotel needs refurbishment pronto! and improve their customer service!!
i would recommend royale bintang since its in a better location, better rooms and better service (if you have extra budget).

Room Tip: let them know what size bed u prefer. ask for room facing pool

I stayed there on Sept 1,2012 to attend a wedding held on that night. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Have to admit that the corridor at Level 6 (where our room is located) smells of old stuff since it's an old building but the smell is gone once you enter the room. Breakfast is ok but maybe not so much of a variety. They seem to have lack of staff since the receptionists also function as concierge. We ordered room service and the food was delicious (Cantonese Kway Teow). Although the hotel is still in good condition but have to agree that an upgrade / renovation / facelift is required if they want to stay up-to-date.

Pros: Free WiFi in the room, standard room is quite spacious, bathroom has two sinks & separate areas for shower, bathtub and toilet bowl, there's a balcony (but it's locked due to safety purposes), huge swimming pool, there's a dedicated area for team building activities, surroundings are quiet and full of greeneries, staff are mainly friendly.

Cons: There's not enough power sockets for you to charge your laptop, camera, handphone etc., there's no covered / basement parking,

Had 3 night stay-in workshop held in the hotel, from Fri night to Mon evening. We were given a room overseeing the swimming pools, quite nice scenery. The room was ok, pretty quiet as we can sleep well during the nights. The food during the sahur can be improved further. The hotel prepared a bazaar ramadhan for breaking fast, there were a lot of food varieties and a lot of people came for the bazaar ramdhan. Saturday night was packed with people. The hotel prepared a special muslim prayer place where we can do our maghrib, isyak and as well as tarawih prayers, they also provide an imam for these prayer. As for the meeting room, we supposed to start at 8:30 am but the room was only opened at 9:00am, we had to call couple of times to open the room. The wifi is the room was also not functioning in the morning, had to call many times for maintenance. Hope that improvement can be done in these areas.
