“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Stayed for the 2nd time for 5 nights in Duluxe Suite. Spacious room with modern features and very good lighting - feels like home. Carpet is clean, being Islamic I suppose. Staffs were good and pleasant. Masjid Muhammadi is across the road, could listen to morning / evening sermon from the comfort of the room. The only downside for me is that the breakfast is not provided but there are plenty of food stalls / fast food around.Could be better if they could provide newspapers in each room. Some would complained about the workmanship and the finishing touch of the room and building in general - but I guess it would be the same if not better compared to most of hotels in KB. Parking is ample but be aware of the basement parking, they are marked with 2 parking lots percompartment, but in reality could only fit one. Would stay again in the future if I come to KB with my family - but may not be if I'm alone.

Room Tip: Book early if you would like to stay during school hols / long public hols - very popular with famil...

Very new hotel with good location. The staffs were so polite, the room is spacious with new linen & furniture. Very clean & modern design room. Muhammadi Mosque just across the road, very convenient for muslim guest during Ramadhan. Eating & shopping area also nearby.

The only problem is they don't have restaurant, so the guest have to go to nearby hotel for breakfast. Wifi in the room also limited connection

Room Tip: Asked for room with good wifi connection

I'm not sure whether I'm more shocked or disappointed with Khalifa's upkeep, but I can say for certain that this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Despite being relatively new, the condition of the room and bathroom were horrible. Cracks, stains on the walls, stains on the carpets, stains on the doors, broken knobs (see pictures). No doubt, the location is prime but save yourself a heartburn and stay elsewhere - there are other hotels within the vicinity. Khalifa is not worth the price (RM150 per night, no breakfast) and personally, not worth a second chance.

20 of us stayed in 2 suites with 3 rooms each. The room is very spacious. We bought the food from outside and we enjoyed it very much. If you like to pray, the Muhammadi Mosque is just opposite this place.

Room Tip: Top front floor room with view of the mosque

My family of 7 stayed in deluxe suites. The room is spacious, clean with a kitchenette which comes in very useful when we brought back Kelantanese superb food to enjoy. We bought 'nasi kerabu', 'ayam panggang', 'somtam', 'nasi tumpang' & 'ayam percik' from the nearby 'medan selera'. Places of interest such as the museums and 'pasar Siti Khatijah' are within walking distance.

My friend and I stayed at Khalifa Suites Hotel & Apartment in their Studio Apartment / Deluxe Suite. We got the room for RM160 per night and it was worth it. The room was very spacious and had 1 queen sized and 1 single sized beds. It can easily fit 4 people. There was an LCD TV with a few cable channels albeit not too clear. WiFi signal was very strong. The bathroom was also nice with a hot shower cubicle. However, the bathroom let out some foul odor which I think came from the sewerage system due to its proximity to a market place.
The location is central, near to Pasar Siti Khadijah and Bazar Buluh Kubu (if you are looking for Kelantan batik this is the place). It is also right beside the most prominent mosque in Kelantan which is Masjid Muhammadi. I don't think the hotel provides breakfast or meals but if you group book or have some sort of programme or seminar there they can arrange for something. Their pre-arranged dining area would be on the top floor with very nice view.
Staff was eager to please but the room service may need some nudging. All in all, very nice hotel at a central location with good value. Will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms with view of the mosque should be nice.

We stayed in the 2 room suite. The suite is very spacious and comfortable. There's LCD tv in the rooms and also the living area. Small kitchen is available inside the suite. Located just in front of the Muhammadi Mosque. Pasar Siti Khadijah is also within walking distance. One setback that we received was the cleaners didn't attend to our room on the 2nd day and they didn't even change the towels. They only gave us the new towels when we lodge our complaints.
