“Book early and get cheap room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2011

I was booked this hotel since few months ago thru a special promotion. It's was only RM36 for 4 nights stayed. Cleanliness and comfortable of bed is an advantage for the room. I would like to recommend for all who are planning to visit Kota Bharu in future. Book early to get better rate!

This is the familiar Tune Hotel you get across their chain, firm beds, restful sleep. I was on the 6th floor in the twin beds rooms. The doors at this hotel seems to close by banging loudly probably loosening the arm's screw a little will help. The hotel is located next to KB Mall, very convenient for F&B supplies including a Pacific/The Store Hypermarket. There's a convenience (ala 7-11) store next to hotel where you can get newspaper & drinks. At the moment overnight parking can be a hassle. You just park your car around the hotel block with no security guards at all (so please double/triple lock it). The cafe located on the 1st floor serves vey yummy Nasi Dagang and Nasi Kerabu which are local delicacies, at reasionable prices to go. Reception staff speaks good English. By the way, there's a huge fllyover being built, when it is completed and in use, please avoid rooms facing it, but majority of rooms face KB Mall anyways. 3 units of table top PC for use at the reception area, ask recptionist for username & password for a FOC 30 minutes use. This hotel is good for those with a car / taking taxis, about 3/4km from town's tourist sights of KB. BTW, the Gellangang Seni is about 2km away from this hotel, I went there to watch Wayang Kulit on a Wednesday night, starts 9pm.

Room Tip: Stay away from the main road, choose towards back of building and face KB Mall for a restful night...

We enjoyed our stay at Tune Hotel. The hotel is not located in the city centre but is it 5 mins by bus from the centre or 20 mins by foot.
The rooms are quite new, very clean and rather basic. Beds are very comfortable; it would nice to have a wardrobe.
While you are making reservation you have to pay separately for every add-inn (air con, towel ect.). The best option is to make a reservation by their web site and choose a package. The staff is very nice and helpful. They offer us internet access so we can make a cheaper reservation by Internet You can also pay 15 MYR for earlier check-in or later chec-out.

This hotel is not located in the city center, but it has good connections to it by bus (10-15 mins.). The rooms are clean, spacious enough and have great beds and matress. You have a big mall just opposite teh hotel, as well a 24h shop in the hotel and a bar. It's amazing you can get all this for just 14 euros/night (including aircon 12h and shower amenities). I would defenitely come back to this hotel.

Location Location Location. I am really enjoyed my stay at Tune Hotel in Kelantan. Beside that, my room was great. Decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable and inviting. The staffs was cheerful, courteous and helpful. I have stayed in similar priced hotels where the room were'worn and tired'. Not this one, it was cleanand fresh and there was the sense that management cared aboutappearance. Hotel Tune in Kelantan was a great find for me and the price was reasonable. I will stay at Tune Hotel everytime I'm in the city at Kota Bahru and I would not hesitate to recommend it to everyonevisiting the city.. I will stay there again. I loved it so much! Thanks for a great weekend and everything!

me n my husband are currently booked into tune hotel, kota bharu for the next 2 weeks...our first impression of the hotel was satisfactory considering the fact that it is a fairly new hotel n its strategic location ie. in the center of town...
but our joy was shortlived....
we had placed a placard on the bed today requesting for fresh sheets...unfortunately, after a tiring day at work, when we returned we were practically shocked to see tht de room was at its former self - the floor appeared to have not been swept ..most importantly the bed linen was not changed...there were stains on the linen.
we had called the front desk from the hotel phone requesting again for fresh sheets but the rply we got was disappointing - the receptionist merely told us tht there were no house keeping staff available at tht moment ie around 8.30pm...there was no apology offered which then made us go down to the front desk personally...the receptionist claimed that the remark by the house keeping staff said tht the bed linen in our room had been changed today...Again no apology was offered until i requested to see the hotel manager...then only did one of the staff accompany us back to the room to inspect de soiled linen in our room herself...only then did she go down and returned with a fresh set of bed linen - changed it with the help of a security guard....
the reason why we have been so highly upset and dissatisfied is merely because we feel CHEATED....how could the staff possibly write in their remarks tht de bed linen in a particular guest room has been changed when it was obviously NOT.! hopefully the staff in KB tune hotel pull up their socks or the hotel reputation is going to suffer...

We checked in on August 31st for one night. Location's good - took the cab driver only about 15 minutes from the airport - though it's a bit far from the town centre. KB mall is also next door with fast food restaurants aplenty and also a Giant hypermarket. We did our Raya visits and we were off the next day.

The room's small - and everything else in optional! - but for RM89, it's fair. Reception was also warm and very friendly - terima kasih :)!

My only concern is, as mentioned by some of the reviewers - security. The cafe is situated on the 1st floor and patrons could then use the stairs to go down or the lift up to the rooms - hence, any non residents could just go straight up without being monitored by the reception. My mum also had a bad experience with the cafe - she ordered black pepper chicken and it still hadn't arrived despite the rest of the family having finished their meals. In any case, the cafe owner came to our table and apologised profusely.
