“Experience in Langkawi”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

During the new year holiday in Dec 2013,I stayed in Lagkawi Lagoon hotel with my family members. Hotel was indeed good in serving food and room quality but I don't think the same for the beach. We couldn't swim in the sea as it was like a swamp area. After just getting through 2 steps in the sea, our legs were covered with muddy staff.
As the beach was not convenient for swimming, hotel arranged daily trips to another shore in Langkawi island.

Room Tip: I suggest to pick another hotel in Langkawi.

We booked for 3 nights via Booking.com and thought we scored a deal. Upon arrival at the hotel in a scruffy area, we were told that we had booked a privately owned room that was not serviced by the hotel so no daily service of the room or charge back facilities. The rep was fine but the room was shoddy. Dirty, no wifi, 3 TV channels. We went down stairs for a drink by the pool and were told there was no alcohol except in a dingy room off the lobby where there was no service. We were not informed by booking.com that it is predominantly Islamic hotel and as such Burkinis are to be worn in the pool. Needless to say we checked out immediately but still had to pay full price. We went to the Meritis Pelangi which was divine. Breakfast which was in the other side of the hotel and which we had to pay cash for was great and the Roti Canai was to die for.

The hotel is very nice, very nice view and nice rooms, near to the airport. But the kitchen has some drawbacks: Varieties of breakfast food is not enough, the service is not so good, there were small insects and flies over the food. The internet speed is slow.

An advice: Rent a car and this will be cheaper than taking a taxi in all your trips, because the hotel is far away from most of the remarkable places in Langkawi.

I stayed there for 02 nights, good hotel amenities. Location was very good , situated on the beach with pool facing the beach. Breakfast had good food options. Very close to airport. We enjoyed our stay.

located nearby to Langkawi main airport will definitely give this resort an advantage. I stayed one night at their Beachfront Hill View Suite. It was a complimentary stay or else i will opt for sea village. they have two pools and guest are freely to choose either one. breakfast was not that bad considering a resort setting but could be better if more seats available for guests cause some guests need to wait to be seated. check in and check out is easy and friendly.

my personal score for this resort is 8.2/10

Room Tip: request sea village if you prefer floating concept but definitely you have to pay more for that. omb...

Not worth the price for what you get. The hotel is a bit run down, and the beach is, well lets just say, you sink into it, but it is nice to look at and the pool is good. Room service is absolutely terrible.

Good place for a reasonable price. Pleasant, enjoyable, nice pool. Very relaxing!
It's unique in Langkawi.
Beautiful wood villa built on the sea like Maldives.
Recommended if you would like to try a different one!
