“Need to refurbish”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

This is our second time here. The first time was in 2007.
In 2007 I would have given it 5*, but six years later, the resort seem outdated and needs maintenance. That explains the 4 star. If any of you had visited the resort in its earlier years, you know what I mean.

The water resort that we stayed needs some facelift on he outside. New paint, new wood etc.
The wood floor at the pool needs replacement. The roof hut at the garden needs some facelift. The roof is leaking and the fan is all rusty.

But the breakfast remains excellent. The staff friendly, The welcome drink was great.
This is potentially a beautiful resort in a great location, hopefully the management will revive the great yesteryears .

very nice location.

hotel little is great, but with very small swimming pool, and u feel all people watching you.
beach is better than others. no any entertainment from the hotel (jet ski, banana boat, ..etc) like other hotels.

ants inside rooms (usually in all hotels), TV channels need to be exploded very boring.....
Wifi free in the lobby only.
breakfast very nice. and the furniture is little old.

i think the hotel need some renovation.

BTW, the hotel full of arabs and islamic families.

last TWO things which is most important and the only things can let me visit the hotel again :
1- the Lebanese restaurant (shisha and the food very nice)
2- the location of the hotel is near all langkawi visits so it same money little bit.

it was a nice days, but i think there is better hotels also.

Room Tip: rooms was nice, try to be in the side hill (mountains view.)

Amazing continental breakfast.. Private beach but since a lagoon the water is not very clean.. it would be nice if water is cleaned.. The price is too high for the basic amenities they provide.. the pool is nice and clean.. Good provision to enjoy ur stay like cycling, djing..

Visit Langkawi some time in December and expect it to be hot, very hot several days it was a very hot and humid 43 degrees.

Which is probably why you are staying in Langkawi anyway so should not be a problem that you'll need to spend quite a bit of your stay in the pool area.

The good news is in theory you could stay sitting at the in pool bar sipping cool cocktails or just enjoy a snack from the decent pool snack bar.

Don't expect anything to elaborate on the menu but its good quality and pretty good value.

The rooms are a series of what can best described as woodern huts which are kept cool by air conditioning which is a but noisy when running on full speed which is something you will need both day and night.

Each block of rooms are placed in neat little tropical gardens and there is a central meeting area and reception.

The standard of food is what could be described as decent nothing is going to satisfy the client looking for Michelin star dining but for typical tourist food its not bad. The food seems well cooked and fresh and there is a decent level of choice for those not that adventerous with food when travelling.

Entertainment wise there is a evening local band and other organsied events which are typical of a tourist resort hotel don't expect anything that impressive but nice location to chill out after a busy day or a day on the beach.

Location is a bit remote and in the heat of the day you'll want to carry a good supply of water as stopping of points can seem a long way even when you can see them you'll be fit to drop and dripping wet and in need of refreshment.

If you need a busy night life and tons of modern facilities this resort and indeed probably Langkawi aren't for you but everyone else will love it's friendly family atmosphere from the minute you land at the qaint little airport and get that first blast of hot air.

Probably not enough to do for 14 days so maybe combine with a City or Penang for a good long haul holiday.

When you visit the hotel you will be welcome in the reception with a cold national drink that causes a refreshment with specisl feeling caused by the sweaty bitter coktail of a mix of equatorial tropical fruits that never forget. The room was well furnished with a wonderful front sea view, the water the blue sky and the mountains all forming a dreamy scene.
Although my visit was in september which was a winter season in Malaysia but the scene I mentioned was also completed by the rains and the moderate temperature that you never feel cold. A resturant very cool and friendly breakfast containing all types of food that satisfy all the nationality habbits. endly its a place of dreams and dont miss the fine swimming pool.Thank you

Room Tip: Front view beach

Since we want someplace that is peaceful and quiet we decided to come here. It was pleasant. We had the sea villa which is by the water. We sat on d balcony enjoying the sunset. Note: mossies galore use repellent. There not much going on around here but the busy Cenang beach is 10 mins drive ( about 18 ringgit )
We tried the hotel Arabic restaurant one night. Sitting on d floor in a hut with curtain for privacy. It was a different experience. Bring mossie repellent!
The food - tasty and the lamb was very yumm. If you're not a big eater beware the serving are huge. We order 4 dishes and struggled to finish.
We also had the massage, it was alright but disappointed it has moved to another building outside hotel. I was hoping to have a massage on the balcony...facing the water. " Oh well can't have
everything".
