“Value for money for a city hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

My 4 day stay this August started well when we were greeted by the friendly hotel boy.We were quickly checked in by the smiling counter staff.Within 15 minutes we were inside our room resting. The room was big with twin beds big enough for a family of 4.The centralised control panel sited next to the bed was indeed very convenient and easy to use. All the lights, tv and even the air-conditioner can be easily controlled unlike other hotel rooms.Though the hotel is located a short distance from the main road, the tall building could be easily seen from a distance. Thus, you wouldnt miss itNearby are many shops including duty free ones>Chocolates and alcohic drinks are very cheap.Restaurants are found here plus many food stalls selling local Malay food.A night market operates on Wednesday close to Baron Hotel about 5 minutes walk away from Bayview hotel. It adds colour to the surroundings and allow visitors a chance to taste the local delicacies and mixes with the local crowd.By the way, there are a lot of parking spaces near the hotel,so driving straight from the airport is a bliss.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the same side as the front of the hotel>Then, you have a nice view of the se...

Stayed here a week and found it was in a good location for diving and shopping, though far from the main strip of the nicest beaches. It is not the place to be if you are looking for nightlife but it is perfect for families. The breakfast buffet is extensive and at 5 till 8pm families can go to the executive lounge for tea and snacks which is an added bonus for those with hungry teens after a hot and tiring day out on day trips etc. The facilities are outstanding, in good repair and clean - special mention goes to the gym which had fit balls, mats, weights and rather well used treadmills and bikes.

Service is excellent: professional, quick and helpful. Wifi is wonderful too and so is the Alun-Alun spa (love the products!). The pool is good sized and clean.

Avoid in-house restaurants for dinner which can be a little disappointing-the dim sum buffet was phenomenally disappointing. There are restaurants and cafes nearby for Thai, Chinese (go to Rootien Restaurant for excellent choices either for lunch or dinner), middle eastern, western for cheaper and more fulfilling options.

Will return for more diving trips.

Room Tip: Book online to get better deals as direct booking will incur extra charges.

Convenient location and friendly staff. I actually changed hotel after the first night and the hotel manager was nice enough to only charge me for one night. The room was full of ants and the executive floor is actually just a normal guest room from level 11 and above.

Hotel should replace all bedsheets as one could easily see and feel they are beyond reasonale service life to provide comfortable feeling. It's not a good time to visit langkawi during holiday seasons as most businesses are closed.

Bayview is located at the heart of the Kuah, so it's very convenient to go anywhere in langkawi and the service is good. The most important is the room provided is clean and comfortable. Lastly, what can I say is bayview is a must try hotel.

It is true like others TA comment indicated, as for a seaview room. you will be amazed! The room is huge, staff are nice and friendly. They are very helpful, and try their best to provide the best customer service. I am impressed. Very much. This hotel is located in Kuah Town. There is a taxi terminal right next to the hotel, so, if you are not hiring a car, getting a cab is not a problem at all from Bayview Hotel.
Room is huge, bed is comfortable, it is combined by 2 single bed into 1 king size bed. So, huge.
From Airport to Bayview hotel will cost about RM24/trip. from Bayview to Pantai Cenang will cost also RM24/trip. From Bayview to Eagle square/Jetty Point by cab will cost RM6/trip.
Many banks around Bayview Hotel too.

Room Tip: If you are a beach person, not this hotel. It is at Kuah Town. And basically. Nothing interesting ar...
