“Amazing Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

We would like to thanks the resorts manager, housekeeping and F&B personnel for being helpful in the arrangement for my parent's 38th Anniversary celebration.. Though its not 100%,(there's a bit of mis-communication) it still turns out great in the end. My parents love it especially with the lovely geese design made from towel. Thanks too for the nice basket of fruits and the delicious cake :-). Our overall stay has been a fantastic experience. Our room with balcony, facing the ocean, give us a nice sunrise view, though its a long walk from the reception area. The resort is covenient for island hopping, walking distance to jetty and meeting point for sunset cruise dinner.

We did not stay at this hotel but dined in the restaurant on the deck looking out at the yachts
The steak was perfect and the red snapper was just as good. The waiters were very helpful and yasam our waiter was quick and helpful. We are going back again.

Service is Good, Food is Good as well and Sea view is the BEST! however, the room really need some upgrade especially bathroom as it quite dirty. Carpet also need to be vacuumed everyday. Other than that, my family and i quite satisfied and enjoyed our stay here!

Stayed at the hotel during a conference for 4 days. Arriving at the hotel one realises the sheer expansive property the hotel has. Pristine blue waterviews as you drive down a narrow road to the hotel entrance. Huge open parking lot - plenty of parking.

While checking in, I was informed "no free internet". I did suscribe for the internet for 1 hour and it was slow so gave up renewal.

The room I was alloted was in a wing far from the reception, on the top level, serviced by a slow elevator (3 floors takes upto 45 seconds), down a very very long corridor. The best part of this ordeal was the view. Wow!! The most amazing view you could get from the hotel. Being on the highest level did have its advantages of get the full panaroma (see pics).

My room had a king sized bed, a balcony and a small kitchen platform. The room was clean but the bathroom was very dated and while functional, needs a revamp soon. Overall, the cleanliness of the bath and kitchen platform was average while the bedroom was much better maintained.

While my room had water views, other rooms have palm trees & mountain view. In my opinion, if you are living on an island, you want to be in the ocean facing rooms.

The hotel is located right on the water - there is no beach though. The marina as well as the cruise ships dock at the hotel. The hotel also has a lighthouse and vast grounds to walk around. Strangely, the pool is away from the sea in the courtyard inside. The pool was mostly very crowded during my stay.

Breakfast is served in the cafe by the reception. Very average spread and the quality is acceptable. Highly recommend to skip the western section (taste like tinned and frozen food reheated). The Malay section was exceptional. Though a lot greasier, it fills you up for the entire day !

I had dinner at the buffet restaurant which is setup each evening by the boardwalk and would recommend to skip as well. There is a night club at the far end of the property - closer to the entrance of the hotel which is way too noisy and must avoid rooms anywhere close to it - unless you are into clubbing.

The hotel is at the end of the road with no other cafes, restaurants or amenities around it. For everything, the nearest drive is 1km. The main road that runs parallel to Langkawi's main beach is about 2 kms away and is a very good option for shopping, eating local food and enjoying beer on the beach.

Overall, the hotel is very old in need of an urgent facelift. The views are super fabulous from the sea facing rooms. The bathrooms need a revamp and overall cleanliness is highly subjective. The food can be given a miss.

Would I recommend - yes! Only if you want what could be one of the best seaviews in Langkawi from your bedroom.

Room Tip: If you are looking for tranquility without having the screaming kids in the pool, take a ocean facin...

Got two attached seaview room and what more i can say; the view just is fantastic! Room may need a little upgrade especially bathroom. Quite dirty and old. For light sleepers the noise from the bar at night might be a nuisance particularly if your room is right on top of it! Location is great with the view & all and very near to cenang beach & the shops there. Staff are very good and excellent service.

We loved our stay here. It was tranquil and serene, with great seaviews from our balcony. The secluded location was great too, not like all the establishments along the beach with all the passing traffic. The service was outstanding and beyond reproach (except for the bored girl at the shop which is not part of the hotel). The reception and restaurant staff were engaged and friendly, and Chef Ben Lee was exemplary in his service and attention to all the diners. He even cooked me up a mouth-watering steak on request on his day off! Certainly the hotel is a little tired and could do with a facelift, but honestly, for the price we paid it was definitely worth every cent! yes, you could pay over the top for a 5 star resort, but that's not what we expected at the price.

Room Tip: seaview is a must - that was the best element of the whole stay!

One of the best view which you can't buy with money. The hotel overall was fairly nice, albeit showing its age a little. The room are pretty spacious, pool is quite nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is bit end and really puts you in relax mode but with renting a car is a good idea. Defiantly will coming back for my next vacation because the sunrise view which really give me the best unforgettable memory for my holidays.

Room Tip: Ocean View is a best view.
