“The view is just priceless!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Got two attached seaview room and what more i can say; the view just is fantastic! Room may need a little upgrade especially bathroom. Quite dirty and old. For light sleepers the noise from the bar at night might be a nuisance particularly if your room is right on top of it! Location is great with the view & all and very near to cenang beach & the shops there. Staff are very good and excellent service.

We loved our stay here. It was tranquil and serene, with great seaviews from our balcony. The secluded location was great too, not like all the establishments along the beach with all the passing traffic. The service was outstanding and beyond reproach (except for the bored girl at the shop which is not part of the hotel). The reception and restaurant staff were engaged and friendly, and Chef Ben Lee was exemplary in his service and attention to all the diners. He even cooked me up a mouth-watering steak on request on his day off! Certainly the hotel is a little tired and could do with a facelift, but honestly, for the price we paid it was definitely worth every cent! yes, you could pay over the top for a 5 star resort, but that's not what we expected at the price.

Room Tip: seaview is a must - that was the best element of the whole stay!

One of the best view which you can't buy with money. The hotel overall was fairly nice, albeit showing its age a little. The room are pretty spacious, pool is quite nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is bit end and really puts you in relax mode but with renting a car is a good idea. Defiantly will coming back for my next vacation because the sunrise view which really give me the best unforgettable memory for my holidays.

Room Tip: Ocean View is a best view.

The view is the best thing about this hotel, and luckily, every room has it. However, the interior is badly in need of refurbishment. Tiles are missing from the elevator floor; the carpet in the hallway is getting threadbare and stained; our room had a strange odor (probably from decades of smoke); the toilet room and the shower room were small, minimally furnished, and the paint on the ceiling of the shower room was peeling and had mold stains. There was a dead insect by one of the service doors on our floor, which I noticed when we checked in; it was still there when we checked out, three days later. Luckily, housekeeping in the room itself was a bit more thorough.

I believe Resorts World acquired this hotel recently, and I hope it has plans for a large-scale renovation. Until then, I would not stay here.

Room rate for this hotel is standart in Langkawi. Hotel cleanliness is also average, not very clean in my own opinion. What I like about this hotel is the great sunrise seaview! Breakfast option is also good.

But once again, I think this hotel is already old and need some renovation. Will come again for the view!

Room Tip: Choose Seaview Room to whatch the sunrise from your room!

I really fell in love with the hotel and its perfect scenic view which was absolutely breath taking. Eating dinner in the fresh air, right next to the sea, whilst choosing your own seafood was just a tremendous treat along with the walkway. However the rooms were a disappointment because they were cramped up and offered very basic amenities and the TV was from an ancient time. Going to the bathroom was a torturous ordeal because the sink that was supposed to be in the toilet was actually in the room, right next to the kitchenette. Not clean and hygienic place for a stay and I would not want to come back to this hotel.

From outside this hotel looks nice. However the room is below my expectation with the room rate that I paid. The carpet looks old and the bed is a bit hard. The toilet is also very simple and not as I expected for the room rate. The room is quite large and facing the sea. Overall the hotel is below my expectation.

Room Tip: A room facing the sea and second floor will help to have a nice view.
