“Nostalgic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

From outside it looks like any other Chinese seafood restaurant. But as I walk in, it turns out to be a different thing altogether. Plenty of old black & white original photos of from the 1950's. The food were well plated and taste wonderful.

Highly Highly Recommended.

“Nice cafe, worth a look...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant is owned by the same people who own Wonderland, so we had high expectations. Wonderland is not open for lunch, so we thought we would give it a try. The cafe is not well known by taxis yet as it is brand new... It is opposite the mafioso steak house. The cafe is nicely decorated in a western style, with old photos of Langkawi enlarged on the walls. The menus is pretty much the same as wonderland, but about 5-10% more, plus 10% service charge. The prices are still cheap though all on all. We ordered fried vegetables, squid with cashew and lemon chicken. The lemon chicken was divine, fresh and crispy batter, sauce was tart. We loved it! The other two dishes were ok, but I have to say wonderland does it better. All in all a good choice for lunch in Kuah, as there are limited options in town, but in the evening I would choose wonderland every time.
