“Very relaxing stay- must stay if you want to have a quiet break.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

I stayed in this resort during our team building activity, the evening breeze in the private beach is very relaxing and enjoyable. The food & service is very good. The resort is so quiet and it is highly recommended if someone wants to have very relaxing break with family.

When one decides to stay at the Four Seasons undoubtedly the experience will be a pleasant (though expensive!) one. However, what made our stay at the Four Seasons Resort on Tanjung Rhu beach in Langkawi,Malaysia unique was the warmth and hospitality showered on us by the staff. The moment we checked in we were informed by the affable and chatty in room dining manager, Monica Kowalewska that we were being upgraded to the villa on the beach instead of the regular room. This was a pleasant surprise and the villa was a stunning one bedroom property opening out on the soft, white crystalline sands of Tanjung Rhu.
We were treated with warmth and friendliness by the staff and their attention to the smallest of our requests made us feel truly at home and more! The food at the Ikan Ikan restaurant and the morning breakfasts with valuable inputs by Monica on what to see in Langkawi made our trip a truly superlative experience.

Room Tip: If you are willing to spend then stay in one of the villas on the beach. Its an incomparable experie...

Even though it rained two days out of four, the resort was beautiful inside and out and the beaches were large. Lots of separation between the buildings. We were able to open the large sliding door/windows(approx. 12'x7') and not be able to see another building. Found myself taking pictures of the grounds and building details. A great place... The BEST!

The villas have the perfect balance of private outdoor space and indoor luxury. The outdoor shower and bath (that converts to a jacuzzi) was one of the most magical experiences. It is completely secluded and private - yet you feel like you are in the jungle! This is one resort you definitely don't need to go exploring off site! The couples spa package was a must do and the ambiance in the spa was fabulous.

Room Tip: Ask for a villa set back from the beach for extra privacy!

Very impressive stay - beautiful surroundings, nicely appointed rooms, extremely helpful and competent staff, fantastic food, beautiful beach, totally relaxing atmosphere. Sunsets of unbelievable beauty and, due to privileged setting, nice weather conditions also in the rain season.
Picky ones might mention the quality of the mattresses, and that at times there are jellyfish and small stingrays in the sea. Quite a bit of daily beach cleaning is needed (plastic bottles etc.).

Overall we had a most memorable and pleasant experience.

This is an amazing Four Seasons Hotel...the Moorish architecture…the stunning views…the friendly service.

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a wise choice. We stayed in a family beach house which offered ample space and additional privacy. To celebrate the occasion we had a sensational candle lit dinner in a Rajasthani tent on the beach with a specially prepared menu and accompanying wines, watched the sunset and to cap it all, the General Manager arranged a surprise s’more on the beach with the children...How memorable!!

Our children (aged 6 and 9) enjoyed the holiday so much that they have been nagging non-stop to return (which we will definitely do). They were thoroughly entertained by KFAS (aka free kids’ club) - Batik painting, kite flying, rock climbing, boat trips, etc.

A must do is the mangrove tour - bat cave, fish farm and sea eagles. The spa is wonderful, the experienced staff make the difference and allow yourself time to relax afterwards by the lotus pond.

Room Tip: Go for a beach house. It is worth it!

I love the design approach, and true tropical architecture. The way that bill bensley creating those pools. Especially long adult pool with separate private longchair with quattro formaggi pizza nyummy.

This resort located near conservation area viewing ranjung rhu beach. Very quite, romantic and tropical... My room is on the second level of the wooden house. Made by Leg bunnag architect. When you open the door you can reach the tree canopy in your vistas. And lots of squirelll .. So many that they will quickly rob your fruits. So be careful.

The food at ikan ikan restaurant generally very good dishes. And also some durian dessert.
