“Ultimate luxury in Langkawi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

What an amazing property that can only be described as stunning. If your reading this and thinking about spending the little extra, do it! You won't be sorry. Pick any facet of this property and the answer is amazing. Rooms - amazing, pools - amazing. Rather than bore you with that let's talk about what to do there. You must do the nature safari. If you don't, you will miss out on one if the best experiences of your life. You feel like David Attenborough! and you will see some of the most interesting wildlife you are ever likely to see. Summary; go to Langkawi and stay at the Four Seasons. You will love it!

The resort is as beautiful and amazing as the previous reviews and the pictures on the hotel website. The staff is exemplary and the facilities are really outstanding. The restaurants whilst expensive, serve fantastic food and the dinner in a Rajasthani tent by the beach is truly a memorable experience.
Our kids enjoyed the kids club although it was very quiet when we were there with only a handful of other kids present.
This is our first stay at a Four Seasons property and it will not be our last!

We were looking for a stop over on the way back from a 6 week sight seeing trip to Europe. Having stopped in Malaysia many times we opted this time to take a short extra hop to Langkawi and stay at the Four Seasons resort. Our aim being for total relaxation at a beach resort and a little romance in a peaceful and tranquil venue with 5 start service. We were not disappointed. We were met at the airport by the hotel car and refreshed with cool towels and ice cold water while we took the short trip to the resort. On arrival the reception stay were very polite and quickly checked us in and we were driven (in a golf cart) to our villa. After being shown where everything was we were left in peace to enjoy our beautiful room and the beautiful sea view. Over the next five days we spent a fair bit of time at the adult only pool (well away from families at the other end of the resort, we enjoyed many a cocktail and loved the restaurants. The specially printed news sheets for each county were a nice touch each morning at Breakfast. Although the resort was meeting all our needs, one evening we decided to venture into the local village and the hotel staff arranged for us to book a taxi (as our car) for three hours and suggested a local seafood restaurant to dine in. This restaurant was superb and so cheap. Lots of different seafood courses and several tiger beers later our taxi driver took us back to the hotel and shared his life story with us, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A highlight of the stay was the romantic dinner for two with our own personal waitress, dining under a gazebo on the beach while the sun set and the waves lapped the shore. Everywhere we went in the resort and everything we did was met with the absolute best service, making our stay most memorable. While we walked to most locations in the resort (the only exercise we needed), we were always offered a golf buggy ride if we need one. We were indeed sad to leave at the end of our stay, but know that we will return someday to experience this luxury again. Thank you Four Seasons.

My 4 days stay at Hotel was great. Besides the friendly staff, I am surprise to find cosy and quiet room for the price I pay. Moreover, the location of the hotel is good and I'm able to go to the places of interest on my own.
I hope that there will be buffet breakfast because the set breakfast is not enough for me. Anyway, I will definately stay at Indochine Hotel in my next visit. My thanks to the staff of Hotel

We chose to stay here as a treat with the family. We wanted somewhere family friendly (not full of honeymooners), great food, unspoilt beach, privacy, and good vibe (so no drunk yobs). Four Season immediately feels very exclusive, like the best we've seen/exprienced. We have stayed in various hotels around the world, but everything from the valet to the receptionist, decor, services, I mean they are ALL top quality and you definitely feel like a A-list celeb. Yes, the price is quite expensive but it's definitly worth it as a once in a lifetime trip. Some highlights for us:
- Unspoilt private beach (great views, loads of islands like the ones from film "The Beach")
- All day kids club (free)
- Mangrove tour (see loads of wildlife)
- Adults (have private booths/dual sunloungers) & Family pool (free ice cream/deserts, sun tan lotion!)
- Fully kitted out modern gym
- Jacuzzi in every room
- Great restaurants

Basically, this is a top end hotel that you should save up as you will not forget about it!

Room Tip: If you want the ultimate privacy, then book the detached villas at the end of the island, although w...

Having stayed at the Datai on previous visits, I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Four Seasons. Unlike the Datai, which is more of a jungle resort (at least where the rooms/villas are concerned), the Four Seasons is much more beach oriented, despite having a large factory of some sort blighting the view somewhat from the pool and beach. Service is typical Four Seasons great, although I felt that the bathroom could have replaced the large pink square stone tub with a proper jacuzzi. Breakfast was spectacular in terms of quality and variety. Wifi was slow and patchy, and only free for one or two devices. Not much to do within the immediate surroundings of the resort, but Langkawi isn't all that big an island.

Room Tip: Rooms upstairs have a large square bathtub and ours had decent view of the beach/sea.
