What an unexpected surprise! First class service and facilities the second you step out of the car to embark on a beautiful, spacious and airy lobby flanked by the rainforest on one side and a gorgeous vista of the Andaman Sea on the other.
Whether you're traveling in a group, as a family or just a solo getaway, you'll be pleasantly surprised! I was bowled over by the little personal touches, so severely lacking in today's hospitality industry. A personal welcome note on the desk in my room, to personalized services and sealing the deal was the email which popped in my box a day after I'd returned home. Even the simple 4-page newsletter was worth the read, down-to-earth, warm and welcoming without the usual hoity-toity tones that often accompany such establishments.
The private beach is a welcome respite from its busy, public counterparts. You can just walk and walk and walk without being hounded by traders and sea sports vendors, without fighting the swarms of other tourists. When the tide is high, making the sea too rough to swim in, the pool is the perfect option. Beautifully landscaped, you'll feel like you're swimming in a forest. Best of all the slide welcomes adults!
I even watched how the staff would personally attend to each guest taking time to answer their questions – with options. In fact one staff – whom I'd later discovered was a trainee – who happened to be passing by the coral garden stopped to show a guest and his son around. She knew every coral and fish by species, ... pretty awesome. The next day, while she was passing by the restaurant, even a toddler called out to her, insisting on her attention!
Food was awesome at every outlet – with wellness menu options. Beautifully prepared with a wonderful fusion of local favorites, enhanced by the individual chefs' special touches. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention. Wonderful, fresh choices, without having to go overboard.
Loved the fact that the grounds offer walking paths amidst the rainforest, a coral garden, complimentary guided nature walks, ... you won't need to leave the premises!
