Stayed here in Feb/Mar 2013 and have to say that the property was just not clean enough for this level of hotel. Corridors were not hoovered properly for at least a week, and even then not very well. Had some problems with noise from both interconnecting rooms and from the bar area but finally settled on a quiet room facing out toward the town. Rooms were not overly clean, towels and sheets were stained and walls dirty [easily cleaned by myself I might add].
The hotel is being refurbished but the new rooms really aren't all that. They are predominately white, furniture as well, and again are showing dirty marks and wear and tear already. It looks like quite a cheap upgrade. The old rooms were actually nicer.
Breakfast was fine, pretty much standard fare for this type of hotel, though did enjoy the sparkling wine on offer. Only had one meal here and it was ok, spent the rest of our evenings in Kuah Town or Pantai Cenang. Drinks very expsensive, go to the yacht club 5 mins away for drinks at half the price. Also, be aware that the free cocktail is one of their choosing, not yours!
Pool area was fine [though pools needed cleaning] and loungers available pretty much all the time. Beach not much to talk about - if you need a beach, go to the other side of the island to stay.
All in all, a pleasant stay as we had just gone for R&R but the hotel needs to step up its efforts. A special mention must go to Edmund, Client Services, as he went out of his way to make sure we had as good a time as possible.

I would like to thank you for your time writing this valuable review and it goes without saying that your experience should not be part of our guest experience. I am concerned with the cleanliness of our rooms and I have immediately spoken with our housekeeping department to take corrective action. We regret that your stay was disrupted by the excessive noise from the neighboring rooms. I have addressed this with my engineering team to improve it immediately. Thank you also for highlighting our SuperFoodsRx buffet breakfast which is well-known by its widespread variety of nourishing food with a free-flow of sparkling wine providing guests a luxurious yet renewing breakfast experience. I acknowledge your comments regarding our pricing. Please rest assured that we do continue to monitor our prices. On the other hand, the sea water very much depends on the tide and the area is obviously not blessed with the best beach and I’m sorry to hear that this became a drawback for you. It’s always rewarding to know that you felt well taken care of; I will certainly compliment Edmund with your feedback as well as recognize his great work. We hope to see you again in the near future.
