“Strategic location, spacious room.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

I checked in to the executive suite room. It's a cabin room alright, but the interior is actually quite chic modern, clean and spacious.

Pros: Spacious room, big bathroom too. Strategic location - near to eateries and main street, The Underwater World is just across the street. Very warm and friendly front desk staffs, bubbly and welcoming. Air-con is okay, cool the room down reasonably fast.

Cons: No breakfast, but McD is just opposite, and next to McD there's Malay hawkers too, so I guess it's okay. Air-con remote control is "wired", so it's not really "remote", at night I found it getting too cold, but gotta wake up and walk to the remote control on the wall to adjust the temperature. Stained bedsheets, on both beds! the stains were not on the bedsheets but underneath, probably on the mattress, I didn't bother to check. Flimsy walls, I could hear the next door chatting clearly, err... 11pm, and children noise by 2pm the next day, luckily i'm not a light sleeper.

went to Langkawi last march with the boys and we reached langkawi in the morning. after a hectic day of sightseeing.
stayed in a deluxe triple no window..(still u can see the road. see-through glass). the room was spacious with one king-sized bed and one single. it is located on the second floor of a convenient store. Its okay though because u can buy things also.. McD was just across the road. But... the only thing that bothered me the most was the air conditioner. the room was HOT. cautious do not lean against the wall in the bathroom in a hot sunny afternoon if u do not want to burn ur back. u cnt leave the key to cool the room so back to square one each time u entered the room.

Here is a few tips

1. if u like to swim, the beach is a walking distance away...
2. Check the towels in the cupboard for soaps and shampoos too.
3. Its easy to find things to eat and buy because there are 2 or 3 duty free shops nearby.
4. and.. its near to the Underwater World.
other then that.. well u have to experience it urself. :)

we were there for one night only. the hotel is supposed to provide towels and toiletries but there was none in the toilet till we were told during checked out. the hotel just seem to be a budget hotel, that's why we thought they didn't provide, anyway we brought our own. then when we checked out, the reception staff asked us about the "lost" towels, only we realized that they were suppose to give. the staff didn't apologize for their mistake made but blaming us for not asking for it. in the first place, shouldn't the hotel get things ready before new guest coming in?

we packed our luggage before check out the next day and found out our DSLR original lithium battery was gone. it was a spare battery so we left it in the room when we were out. we figured they took it when they sent the extra bed in. we told the reception staff during check out and they denied that this will happened and the attitude showed was like "our staff steal a battery?" well, we didn't expect people to steal our battery too and that's why we leave it in the room. they said they will asked their staff but the attitude already showed that "don't expect feedback from them". it's been 4 days and we got no news from the hotel at all.

Stayed in an executive superior room with twin beds. It's a cabin styled room located in a garden, just behind the main building. Got into the room in afternoon and the air conditioner took its time to cool down the temperature in the room. The room will be very hot under a sunny day, make sure you have the air conditioner switch on throughout the noon. Since it's situated in a garden, it's common to have mosquitoes to enter your room in night time, prepare any necessary precaution to chase them away. The room is clean and quite spacious with a mini fridge. The staffs are very friendly and I got an early check-in without any charge. Please do not leave any food or sweet food unattended as it will attract ants, there are ants in my room. McDonald's just across the street, together with duty free shops and Underwater World, 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to the beach. Overall, two thumbs up for the room condition and price.

Had a good trip to Langkawi saying at Casa Fina. Our room was better than expected, clean with a nice bathroom, wardrobe, table with fridge and tea/coffee facilities. We didn't have any disruption to sleep. Not a bad location, on the main strip with plenty nearby, just a short walk to loads of restaurants, shops and the beach. Would recommend Haroo for food (very close by) and be careful to not leave food out...the ants will get it!

I booked Executive Superior about one year ago. When I booked, I thought I can request for king's bed (while actually this room fits two single beds and I didn't realize). I call two times to request this and both they promise me. After I arrived, I got two single beds and the staff combine beds for me. I checked, and the bathroom strainer got some hairs left from previous guest and they didn't clean it. The water supply on wash bowl was very small. Water pressure on hot shower I consider as moderate only, but for the pipe beside sitting toilet, it's exceptional high pressure. Aircond in this room is not cool enough, eventhough I set it to the lowest temp. In the room, there are always ants around, those ants that like sweet and sugar, The good side about this hotel is water vendor machine is provided outside the rooms, with hot and cold water option. The construction site nearby has stopped working and there is no noisy disturbance in the night as mentioned before in reviews. Car park is provided for the guest as most would rent a car to travel in Langkawi. The parking is quite a lot and convenient because it's near to the room where we no need to drag the luggage far and no need to worry about the car. AB motel is nearby, on the same street where we can book for island hopping and snorkeling tickets (cheapest in town). In front of the hotel got local food (nasi lemak, kuih and fried noodles which is quite cheap). If these does not suit your appetite, there is McDonald oppsite, and OldTown restaurant nearby (travel right when you exit Casa Fina). Another attraction, Free Duty Zone and Underwater World also in opposite of the hotel also.

Stayed a few days before new year booked through opodo. On the first night we were kept up til 4 in the morning from people singing in the karaoke/music bar in the same building on the same floor-practically down the hall! The proprietress had told us it was a quiet room and that the music bar closed at 12. Don't believe a word of it- we were there 3 nights and barely managed to sleep at all. We were unable to move as the hotel was full and to top it off we couldn't sleep in the day because of the huge building site outside our window who were banging and drilling away from half 8 in the morning. Langkawi is a beautiful island a a great place to stay, but be warned, not at Casa Fina!
