“Good food at reasonable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

It is a nice place to eat in the evening overlooking the small marina. Friendly staff and my wife who is vegetarian found enough choice to eat. The grilled vegetable salad starter was a real hit for both of us. We have eaten there twice and the bill for a three course meal with a couple of drinks coming to 152 Ringgits both evenings.

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Had a few meals here - the set lunch for 20 RM (pasta) 30 RM (pizza) or 40RM (grill) is excellent value since it also includes a starter and dessert.
Service is very good and friendly and the food was good too!

“Excellent food, place and price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

When we got sick eating in Cenang area, we ride scooter to Telaga Harbour. We expected we going to spent a bit too much money for dinner. But actually it is not as hurting as we think.
Beer at happy hour RM 3.00 per mug, still cheaper than Cenang's ransack bar (RM 5)
Steak came very good, my lobster was really nice.
Good view too and it is a proper dining place.
you pay same price for BBQ in Cenang, but at Mare Blue you get a proper food in proper quality.

“A pleasant place to eat, but be wary of the pasta dishes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

When you stroll along Telaga Harbour with the gleaming white yachts and motor vessels, you spot the outside tables of Mare Blu from far; the tables are covered with spotless white tablecloths, Italian style. It is very inviting. A friendly waitress brings you the menu; the menu is a mix of Italian and general Western dishes. Generally, the service is right up to Malaysian Hospitality standards. My wife and I shared a platter of tomato bruschetta as starter; the bruschetta was freshly made and delicious. My main course was Fish and Chips. This dish was very tasty and the dessert, home made Tiramisu, stole the show. Sitting at an outside table of the restaurant, at the waterfront, with a view of the gleaming ships, is very pleasing. Why then, you will ask, stops the rating of the Mare Blu and the food at 4 points? I tell you why. My wife had a pasta dish with meat sauce for the main course. The tagliatelle was seriously overcooked, resulting in one big pasta lump, (not a little bit overcooked; you can wave that away, because cooking pasta to an ideal structure is a very precise job, but seriously overcooked) and this tagliatelle lump was literally drowned is the sauce. Although the taste of the dish was OK, I must advise the chef of Mare Blu to fine tune his knowledge on Italian cooking, especially on pasta dishes. I make a big point of this, because Mare Blu core business is of course serving Italian food.
