I can't understand the last 3 reviews Pentai Cenang is expensive compared to Kuah for example, so if you want to go touristy... Expect to pay touristy prices.
My wife and I had a fantastic meal there tonight which included a proper green curry at 25 myr, fried chilli beef at 18 myr, 10 chicken satay for 12 myr, and a huge Pad Thai for 15 myr and throw in steamed rice and 7 beers and our total bill was 104 myr. The portions were good sizes and it was piping hot, and the crockery squeakily clean. We saw no sign of rickety chairs, but didn't sit in them all, but we did sit at different 2 tables. The staff were very friendly, the place was nice and clean, and the loo was western and spotless with no overpowering stinky mothball things! We will definitely go back again, and would recommend Rose Tea 2 as a great place to eat after watching a beautiful Cenang sunset.
