“Nice food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

We came here for the middle eastern food, and we were pleasantly surprised. The owner(?) showed great concern when we mentioned our son had an ear ache, and he went and got us two panadol. The food, although a little slow, was very tasty. The only downside was no toilet paper in the bathroom, however that is quite common in Langkawi. Would happily recommend eating here.

“Good Curry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

This place has a mix of Indian and Arabic menu. Curries are a nice change from anywhere else on the Island. Staff are friendly and the meals are well priced. Food also comes in generous servings so would recommend to try a few dishes to share. Only down side is there is no alcoholic drinks on the menu.

“Tasteless food and a swindler instead of a waiter!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

I would not recommend my worse enemy to go to this place (okey maybe). This restaurant offers indian and arabic food. We went to this place because we wanted to try out their indian food. When we arrived at the restaurant the waiter (hereafter called swindler) approached us, and he was really annoying, he wanted to shake hands, and pulled bad jokes all the time. He thought that he was really funny, but I'm sorry to break it, he was not funny at all.

After a while, when he at last was finished playing a buffon we ordered our food. Initially we ordered chicken biryani, he told us that he could make something special for us, some chicken, some lamb so we could try out several of different dishes and share. Unfortunately we said okey.

When we waited for our food, the swindler continued to act as a buffon and ran around in the restaurant and pulled different tricks and jokes - NOT FUNNY.

After approximately 20 minutes our dinner was served. I though it was a joke, there were four of us, but our dinner consisted of 9 small piecies of chicken, 3 lamb skewers and 3 chicken skewers and french fries, and two small plates of rice. There were too little food for the four of us, and it was really tasteless, the skewers tasted like charcoal and the chicken was not properly cooked (some pieces of the chicken were still raw), the rice was oily.

We were charged approximately 300 RM for this small amount of uncooked charcoil tasting food and the swindlers buffon like behaviour.

My recommendation: DON'T GO TO TAJ MAHAL!

“Excellent food/service/value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Delicious, clean tasting food.Meze plate a favourite for a light lunch for 2. Wash it down with a very well balanced lime and mint juice. Staff genuinely friendly and attentive. For those who complained about mozzies(which I never actually experienced),suck it in, you're in, Asia!
