Stayed at this hotel with husband and baby over weekend. Generally safe walking back from shopping mall at night since the streets are quite well-lit and we just need to walk across the shopping mall carpark to reach the shophouses where the hotel is located. Room is quite comfortable given that we only paid less than S$50 for a night stay. Only shortcomings are that the floor is sticky and the soundproofing of the rooms are not too well done. We can hear people banging their doors to close them at all hours, can be disturbing if you are a light sleeper. Nevertheless, it's still a value for $ stay. Will prob consider staying there again.

Stayed at this hotel on the 9-10 August 2013, it's basically a shop lot below an apartment which is converted into a hotel. rooms were clean. I checked in pretty late. Got checked into the rooms quickly but than I had to walk almost a half lap to get to my room. The room was pretty big but was poorly lid. The tv remote was out and you could hear sounds from the back indoor car park behind the shop lots. The power tripped at 1am plus took 10-15 mins to get the power back on. Emplyees are mainly foreigners. Some cant fluant English. Other than that everything was good. Much improvement is needed to fill up the space somehow it doesn't fell like home.

Prior to the actual day of stay, email correspondences with the hotel staff was pleasant. Mr Guna was prompt and clear in his email replies to my email enquiries.

On the day of check-in, I drove with my family and managed to find a carpark lot in front of the hotel entrance. In my observation, carpark lots were ample and these are free to park as well. Check-in was fuss-free and efficient. The 2 rooms which I booked for myself and my family were clean and relatively spacious enough. Do note that some items such as shampoo, body wash, toothbrush/toothpaste, shower cap are provided whereas others such as conditioner, razor etc. are not. Nevertheless, we have no issues with this, considering the low room price of this hotel. Air con is powerful enough, shower area is clean, bed is comfortable, and the furniture all in good order.

Location is great, which is the main reason that compels me in booking this hotel. It’s just opposite Jusco Tebrau shopping center, and surrounding the hotel are other useful shops such as cafes, foot reflex/massage centers, hair salons, and even a car solar film shop. Note of worthiness here is to try the small eatery just beside the hotel entrance round the corner. It’s run by a Chinese lady boss (I think!!) which she cooks up a very tasty breakfast of curry mee hoon, kaya/butter toast bread and a most authentic yam cake. Very friendly lady!! (By the way, Hotel Tebrau CT does not provide breakfast option at all, hence we sourced and tried this eatery place).

I noticed that there was a security guard stationed right in front of the hotel entrance at night, which doubles up as a bonus in helping to keep an eye out for your parked vehicle.

An important note here for the health conscious and for those of you with sensitive nose: This hotel has no demarcation for smoking or non-smoking floors/rooms. During my 2D1N stay, there was another hotel guest smoking near my room door along the corridor. But luckily, the smoke did not manage to creep into my room via my door. When I asked about this the next morning with the reception, I was informed that should hotel guests smoke along the corridor, affected hotel guests could inform the reception and they will have a device to suck in the smoke or something.

For the low price I paid for the hotel rooms, this is definitely a most value-for-money and a gem find for bargain hunters. I would definitely come back here again to Hotel Tebrau CT in the very near future just to stay and shop.

The best selling point for this hotel is the 'Location'. Walking distance or 2 minutes drive to AEON Jusco Tebrau City Shopping Mall, less than 5 minutes drive to shop lots and petrol station. I also remembered drove less than 30 minutes to the famous Johor Premium Outlets (JPO).

This is a new hotel, room is simple, modern. I stayed in the superior king room. You'll get the same room as what they display in the website. Bathroom was clean. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. I had a good night sleep.

I spent almost a week looking for the best value for money in JB and I think I made the right decision choosing Hotel Tebrau CT. For RM108 per night!! you get comfy King sized bed, clean and new room, shopping malls next to your hotel, avoid the JB City Centre traffic and short drive to Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) for shopping spree on your way back to KL on Sunday afternoon.

If you are looking for a short weekends stay in JB, this hotel is your best bet. Recommended.

I have stayed for 1 night. The location is very near to Jusco Tebrau City, just about 5 to 10 mins walk. The room is clean and nice. The staffs are helpful especially Guna. Would book this hotel again if going over to Jusco Tebrau City.
